I'm glad we bought the bassinet attachment. We weren't planning on buying it at first, but we changed our minds after my toddler developed a heat rash on his legs from his car seat. We take the bassinet with us on walks, shopping trips, and visits to friends. When I'm not at home, I'll use it to change diapers. I placed a Skip Hop diaper changer in there, which provides a clean and safe environment for changing diapers. I also bought a mattress cover for the bassinet, which I strongly advise you to do as well.
