We used the B Ready stroller with the infant car seat and then later with the upper toddler seat, which I had from Baby 1. We also have a Bumprider Stroller Board that we use to encourage my son to walk while we're out and about, such as at the zoo. For the first few months, our first son slept in a traditional bassinet, but after letting a friend borrow it and ruining it, we needed to find something for Baby 2 (on the way). I didn't want to waste any more money on a traditional bassinet - I reasoned that I could get this one, use it at home, and then have it ready for summer walks. For the first few months after the baby arrives, we'll be in a hot and humid climate, and I'm guessing this bassinet will be far more comfortable than putting the baby in the cozy confines of the car seat. I don't like that you can't put the baby on the bottom and the toddler on the top with the bassinet, but my son already loves his stroller board. . . I plan to use the bassinet with the board for outings and short walks, and we also got the lower car seat adapter for when we know our older one will need a break (like Disneyworld, etc). br>br>To set this up at home, I purchased the Jolly Jumper Bassinet Stand - It doesn't quite fit perfectly, but the bassinet's feet are perfectly aligned to set on either side of the stand's rails, preventing it from slipping. To make a tighter fit, it would be simple to drill new holes in the plastic supports at the head and foot of the bassinet stand. I just don't think it's necessary right now; it was a little unsightly on the stand-- So I whipped up a quick green and white striped bassinet skirt, and it now looks like it belongs in a nursery. br>br>As someone who is extremely sensitive to smells, I was wary of all the negative reviews. There were no odors on mine, so either the problem was resolved or I was lucky. . . but it was hot from sitting on the porch when I opened it, and nothing caught my eye. br>br>Traditional Bassinet sheets are a perfect fit for this mattress.
I don't think he'll outgrow it because it's nice and roomy. The pad and the sheet that surrounds it are both removable, making cleaning a breeze. We haven't taken it for walks as much as we'd like, but I love that his bed can be clipped into our B- ready! He falls asleep almost immediately when we take it for walks. I live in a three-bedroom apartment. I like that I can put him to sleep in it wherever I am in the house because it's a level house. Right now, he's snoozing in it. The canopy is up during the day for naps and down at night for sleeping. This is something I can't emphasize enough! It appeals to me.
This bassinet has been with us from the beginning. We used it mostly at home at first, where our baby napped and slept in at night (for a week or so at night, and for naps until she was about a month old). That's all we've used for walks since we first started taking her outside (at two weeks old). My baby can stretch out, take long naps, or simply kick around whenever she wants. I strongly suggest this product; it is well worth the money. We've been using it since our baby was almost six months old.
This is something my husband and I bought for our upcoming baby. We also have the stroller, and the entire system works flawlessly. For the first few weeks, we intend to use the bassinet in our bedroom as a sleeping area for baby. I'll keep you updated once she arrives!.
Stroller is ready to go. It works well as a portable bassinet while traveling. The system as a whole is fantastic. In addition, the green color is very attractive.
Stroller is ready to go. I just received it today, and I'm about three weeks away from my due date. I already own the stroller, and I'm confident that this will be a fantastic addition. Some people mentioned the smell, but mine is completely devoid of it. I'm really looking forward to taking some long walks around town with this. This set also includes a fantastic little foam mattress and fitted sheet. I'll write a follow-up to this review once I've used it.
