This was a gift for my younger sister. My niece has been around for a year and a half. She explained that it's because she doesn't get close to the edge of the bed where there isn't a rail. It appeals to her. It seems to work for her. I hope you found this information useful.
Yes, if you have your mattress on the floor. The mattress or box spring on top of it must provide stability and security.
Ours is. It's what we use for my mother.
Between the mattress and the box spring, two arms slide in and out. It appeals to me. It's well-made. The size is just right.

Because of my dissatisfaction with the return process, I've decided to write this review. Make sure you want and can use this item before purchasing it because returning it will cost you the same amount as purchasing it. This is essentially a final sale item (though they don't tell you that when you order it) because they don't offer return shipping and the weight and size make it too expensive to ship back. It appears to be a ruse, which it is. I'm not going to buy anything else from them.
Save yourself the trouble and construct it according to the image on this page. The instructions are extremely basic, poorly written, and labeled. It's extremely difficult to keep track of. The rails will not match up with the poles if your bed frame does not require a box spring. I laid plywood on the floor and secured the legs with screws.
It was fine, but when I wrapped it around my full-size bed, the 59-inch foot board was still too wide, leaving an easy crevice for my baby to poke their arm or foot through. br>I purchased two 79-inch rails, one for each side of the bed, as well as a 59-inch rail.
It's simple enough for a busy mom to put together, but it's also very sturdy, and it's been tested by a toddler! I like how I can adjust the height, so it's ideal for my extra-thick mattress.
It's important to be able to put it all together using common sense. Instructions are a little difficult to read because they are unclear. It appears to be durable enough for my needs - to prevent the new puppy from falling out of bed However, it is extremely tall! It's 18" above the top of my 12" mattress at its lowest setting!.
It's for my mother, so I bought it. She has a tendency to trip and fall.
However, the included set-up instructions appear to be missing a step, but after looking at the picture and quickly thinking about it, I was able to finish the assembly fairly quickly. We've had it for a month and it's been very reliable.
We purchased all three sides of this unit because it is extremely sturdy. It's ideal and simple to assemble. Both your toddler and yourself will be safe. I also purchased a BabyJoy baby bottle sterilizer and dryer, which is fantastic!.
