My 2nd grader and I made the transition. A five-year-old has been assigned to a twin-size bed. We decided to go with bumpers instead of rails because the bed didn't require a box spring. They are without a doubt the best purchase we've made for our child in a long time. He realizes he can't climb over them, so he exits the bed at the far end. Since we completed the full transition, he hasn't gotten up once in the night. He gives him the impression that he is sleeping in a 'fort. ' He has plenty of space to sleep, but I am confident he will not roll over them. I can comfortably sit on them and read him a book without feeling claustrophobic - They haven't slid, either, as some have speculated. They've managed to hold on to their positions. In comparison to Walmart, these bumpers are a great deal, and I highly recommend them!.

I bought these for our king-size bed because we have a toddler who cosleeps and kicks and snuggles all night. One of them popped up right away when I opened them up (they come compressed and vacuum sealed). The other, on the other hand, remained as flat as a pancake. I decided I wasn't going to be able to box these up again, so I set out to fluff this one up. It was smushed, twisted, massaged, and karate chopped by me. After a while, it started to grow. I walked away after a couple of more whacks. It was still fluffy when I returned several hours later. Even in our king-size bed, these take up a lot of room, but we're in desperate need of sleep, and they suffice. They'll be ideal as bumpers when she finally gets her own twin bed.

I bought a set for when my 7-year-old son and/or his friend sleep in a "normal" bed (his bed does not require this). They fall out of bed on a regular basis. I believe we've used them for that purpose before, and they were successful; neither child rolled out. br>br>However, because they are so long, they are difficult to store! As a result, I kept this set on the spare bed in my spare room. One on the far side of the bed (where there is less traffic and the dog does not have to climb over it) and one at the head of the bed to keep it out of the way. Under the fitted sheet, these are installed. When I or an adult guest sleeps in that bed: br>br> The side rail is extremely comfortable for us! It's nice to have that soft but supportive support against my side or back, depending on how I'm lying. It's almost as if you're holding me in your arms. br>br>Give it a shot; you might enjoy it! I didn't think I'd enjoy it as an adult who doesn't roll out of bed, but I do.

There is a 16 in our group. A five-year-old dog who adores camping. She has her own set of stairs for getting into bed, but she would either roll off or become confused and step off. This is a high bed with the potential to cause serious injury. We're all sleeping a lot better now. In the middle of the night, there were no thumps. It's also not necessary for me to share my pillow.

This bumper prevents my dog from rolling out of bed. When she falls asleep, she rolls over and "crash" onto the floor, just like a baby. I came across this bumper and it has improved my sleep. It sits at the foot of a king-size bed. It spans approximately 3/4 of the width of the room. Even if a dog tries to roll over the top, the bumper sticks to the mattress pad and does not move. br>At this point, there have been no dog injuries. It doesn't get any better than this.

Parents of toddlers and/or wild sleepers should take note of the following: My son began climbing out of his crib earlier than I had hoped and did well in his toddler bed for a while, but as he grew older, he began to move around in his toddler bed so much while sleeping that he would hit the sides, waking him up. We decided to put him in a twin bed with these bumpers because we'd learned that if the guard rail wasn't present, he'd roll off the toddler bed and onto the floor. Both the mattress cover and the fitted sheet were placed with bumpers underneath them. Because he's still a little guy, one bumper sits between the side of the mattress and the wall to fill in the gap, and the other bumper sits on the opposite side/edge of the mattress. He's done remarkably well with the bumpers now that he's gotten used to sleeping in his "big boy bed"! Even when he sleeps sideways on the bed, pushing his feet against the wall and his head against the bumper, they stay in place and he doesn't fall off! What an outstanding item.

For a two-year-old who hasn't yet graduated from a crib, I used them on bottom bunk beds with no side rails. They quickly grew to their full size. The middle of the bumper shifted slightly outward, but not enough to render it ineffective, and the child was able to easily get in and out of bed by crawling out at the bottom between the bumper and the footboard. It worked well, and the older grandchild decided to sleep on the other bottom bunk with a bumper on that bed as well, despite the fact that this child had been sleeping in a regular bed for the previous three years. The purchase was a success.
