Questions & Answers

Is this expected to work on a door that is merely 13/16" thick (a little less than 3/4" thick)?

There's no way it would work like that. There is an inch of material at the tightest point where it grabs on to the door, which will be too wide for your door and will probably fall sideways when you move it.

Does this fit a door that is one and a quarter inches in size? Could you please thank me?

If your door is up to 1 inches thick, the Finger Guard will be able to fit it. A 5" thick sheet of paper.

What is the width, in inches, of the door that this holds open?

You can install the Finger Guard on either side of the door (allows about an inch of space between the door and the handle. The top of the door (holds open approximately 25") is about 25" above the ground. ) or back of the door ( holds open about 24").

What is the range of door thicknesses these will fit In a review it said the 1 isn't the right size for them. A door with a thickness of 5 inches. ?

It is possible to pull the material to accommodate a thicker door, but it can sometimes lead to cracks in the area at stress points, which may cause the material to break sooner The probability of it happening increases if it is at a 90 degree angle or close to it.

The same applies to cats as well
5/5

I got these for the top middle of my door so my cats won't shut themselves in a room when playing behind the door. These are for kids' fingers, of course, but I put them there so my cats can't close themselves in. The door works perfectly, I close it whenever I am asleep so that the door is only open a little bit so they can get in and out without being woken up by a closed door. In addition, the 2 doors that are kept open for them give me peace of mind when I am not home. The set I bought for my friend with kids was also given to her.

I highly recommend this product! It has taken me so long to go through so many foam finger guards, and each one was just a waste of money
5/5

We used to break my kids' doors if they slammed them too many times. A week or so ago, I found these materials after searching for quite a long time. The total number of packs needed was 4, so I bought two. The door hardware perfectly fits both old and new doors. (Two of the doors are old and a bit thinner, while the other two are newer interior doors. ) I tried to break the glasses several times, but I was unsuccessful in breaking them. You don't want to waste money on cheap foam, get a reliable material to resist slamming doors. If you have kids who like to slam doors, these are perfect.

We have a 3 year old with a tendency to slam doors, an infant evolving into a mobile toddler, and a playroom with a door that does not Due to the fact that we rent and I can't alter the door, I bought this item in order to placed the finger guards above the top hinge, and the door won't close more than halfway with the finger guards in place
4/5

This will leave a large enough gap between the door and the frame so we won't have to worry about Only one downside is that sometimes they come off if he repeatedly slams the door, but that has only happened once since he doesn't pay attention enough to try each time. (Now if only these would keep him away from the refrigerator and garbage can.

Do Kids Really Need to Be Born? I do not have children, but my husband and I have animals
5/5

In his case it's a three-shifter (3rd shift, not a vampire) and I'm a night owl. It was important to have a way to close the door most of the way while still leaving a gap so that the dogs and cats could come and go freely from the room. It is sometimes impossible to use a door stop because the pets constantly knock it out of its place (sometimes on purpose), and the door would thunk as it bounced again against the I came across these door finger-attachments while browsing the Internet You should guard your The only way I could find them in stores was in packs of five We needed only one, but there were eight. The doors were usually golden oak, so their white color stood out against golden oak. A 2-page PDF I found It only takes a few minutes to pack! Holds onto the door well due to its clear material. It's easy to forget that it's attached to the top of the door since it's so low. There is a small gap between the closed door and the wall There is enough room for a cat or a puppy to nudge the door open with their paws. A quiet bump is heard every time the door closes. The tv is quiet enough that neither one of us wake up when we sleep. You should definitely consider this door cushion for a child as well - Home that is free.

I am extremely relieved for my has reached the stage in which he slams the door when he throws tantrums
5/5

In researching the best solution to this problem, I didn't spend as much time as I usually do. It is wonderful to have chosen these fingersavers and cannot imagine the cute, colorful animals ones I had seen would match the quality and power of these. Since he slams the door so strongly, I'd bet that he would have bent the handle but it has actually proven to be a deterrent since he is less likely to slam the door that often I wonder if the sound of the door no longer makes him as satisfied as it once did. The product is great and I would buy it It is very good to have a product like this, because now instead of being worried about my little one hurting his little fingers, my mind is at ease.

Door thickness greater than 1 inch is not recommended
3/5

Door thicknesses greater than 16 inches are not suitable for these. I am sure these would work for typical interior doors, but they aren't wide enough to fit around the door leading into my A week after I bought two of them, both of them broke. One of the corners snapped off because the plastic is thick and rigid, and before the pieces broke, it made the door bounce back open more than I had You may not use these for thicker doors due to their convenience and ease of installation. However, if you need to remove or install them, they can be easily removed or installed.

We are a worry-free household
5/5

The safety of your fingers and the safety of your The pictures are beautiful. 2 sets of the same set were ordered. It was impossible to get my kids to stop slamming the doors on each other, and I was terrified that their fingers would break. Doors at the top are kept 2" apart from each other due to these, so they cannot reach them. plastic material that has a rubbery feel to it. During removal, we haven't got any paint pulled off of the white painted doors. As of right now, they run 24 hours a day. My cat and I have even used it on doors to keep them from locking up. As soon as I'm finished covering all my bedroom doors, I will order another set. This mom no longer has to worry about anything!.
