This is a good idea, but it was executed poorly. I dropped these on the first use when I tried to use them with my toddler. In a nutshell, they would try slamming the door and these would basically There is a towel on top of the ceiling that holds up a lot better than these do. I do NOT recommend this product.
The door handles I bought for the house a month ago go with a specific door. It seemed reasonable to buy the 6 pack, even though we only needed one, because we may need more in the future. The pinch guard we had for a month already broke, and we now have a third. The door frame of our house isn't made of knives, so they must be flimsy.
Our family just went through a big scare this week. One of my kids slammed the door on the finger of my other kid on the DOOR HINGE SIDE, resulting in a trip to the ER and a lot of injuries. My experience is that this product works on the hinge side, but that it is NOT intended for this use. If you want to protect your fingers on the hinge side of the door, please purchase a door hinge guard. I tried it out anyway and here are some pictures of what happened to the foam. As you can see, the foam took a beating and is not going to hold up for very long. Here is the third picture - when I tried manually closing the door for the first time on a brand new one. In appearance, you can see that there are already creases within the foam. Now that children are trying to close doors with more force, I don't think these foam guards will last very long. I recommend that you use the concept for temporary use until you can find a more permanent solution. Those little fingers need to be protected!.
When I was a child, I nearly lost the tip of my finger in a door. My daughter needs these pieces to open and close every door inside whatever room she's in since she had a hand specialist and surgery. I was lucky it eventually healed though, so it's a Godsend for me to have these remarkably simple little foam pieces. Because they fit snugly, there's no chance they will fall off, they're soft, so they won't scratch the door or the frame, and they're thick enough that your hands can't force the door.
These were actually placed between the door and the wall on the metal hinges. Because they block the doors, it was ideal for them since they definitely couldn't close with them there! Keeping my dog awake by setting the alarm also helps me prove that he won't lock himself in a room.
I bought several packs and put one on every one of them. The stage of playing with doors was one that my son was going through, grabbing hold of the door hinges and sticking his fingers in them. I felt more confident about his safety as a result of these. There are no more squishing fingers since you can slide them over the edge of the door. As a result of my son slamming doors so that the molding gets bumped against the frame, as time passes, these begin to fall off. I gave them four instead of five stars. It has happened several times so I have been forced to replace them. However, there is no better way to prevent your little one from getting hurt than a child-safe door stopper. It gives us such peace of mind knowing that these are installed on our sliding barn door as well.
She was getting them for me. There is a cat in her house who enjoys pushing the doors shut, so he always gets locked in rooms. The cause of the problem in her life doesn't make sense to him, but the solution has made sense to her! The videos are fantastic. Thank you for making them. Some years ago, I used something similar to protect my grandchildren from accidentally locking themselves in various rooms when they were young. It reminded her of their cat mat and she said she needed to find something like it for her. It was obvious to me they would work the minute I saw them. Her desire to be a cat mom has brought her great joy!.
The door pinch guards will keep tiny fingers from getting pinched each time the door closes Neither your woodwork nor the paint has any scratches or holes. Besides protecting their little ones from being accidentally trapped inside a room or closet, they also prevent them from falling out. The one I use on the cellar door works in tandem with the strap so that the cats can still use the litter box but my granddaughter is not thrown My recommendation for these versatile and tough shoes is a definite yes Protect your doors for a low price!.
