One thing I would appreciate is if there were an adhesive tape available for such occasions. Our first set lasted for three years before it came loose and we had to buy another one.

Actually, I used it to prevent the wall from being marked up by a futon frame. The straps are a little tricky to get on perfectly straight, but very cushy and stick.
