Hello, the bed canopy's total length is approximately. The lanyard length on the top is approximately 04 ft, and the lanyard length on the bottom is approximately 04 ft. 3 ft + 3 ft + 3 ft + 3 ft + 3 ft + 3 ft 34 ft. If you want to hang it from a 12 ft ceiling, you might need to use a lanyard to get the desired length.
It doesn't quite close all the way, so it's not ideal. I would also advise against using it near a crib or on a child under the age of two.
It's more like netting than solid cotton, in my opinion.
Ours is gray and has a more cloth-like texture, so it isn't see-through.

Besides that, it's adorable. RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY WHILE OPENING — The canopy itself is attractive; the material is soft and of good quality; however, the color is more of a peachy pink. The way the METAL HOOP/WIRE is packaged needs to be addressed. It was difficult to cut the zip tie because it was tightly tied and forcefully folded over several times. And when we finally did, the metal hoop flung out at my eye in FULL FORCE within SECONDS, leaving me perplexed as to what had happened; thankfully, I was wearing glasses because it would have popped my eye. Even now, the thought of it makes me shiver. My glasses were instrumental in saving my vision. You've been warned; proceed with caution and at your own risk. Oh, and the tape they included did not last long on the ceiling; it fell off while my baby was sleeping, but thankfully I was present and was able to remove it from her as soon as it fell. She was not injured, but she was startled. I suggest coming up with your own hook.
I threw it in the washing machine and ran a "de wrinkle" cycle on it, and it came out perfect!.
The end result was very nice, but the instructions were terrible. As a result, here are some more suitable options. Remove the curtain and the sticky hook piece from the metal hoop. br>br>Metal hooks must be opened with care, and plastic zip ties must be broken with scissors. The hoop will double in size once opened; open the hoop by detaching the metal facet. This metal piece will feed (like a drawstring) into the canopy fabric provided; if you look closely, you can see the hole it feeds into to form the desired shape. br>br> To avoid puncturing the fabric, feed it in slowly. You can then force the metal back into the provided facet once it has been fed through. br>br>Before applying the double-sided tape square, assemble the plastic hook. Firmly press the princess canopy to the ceiling and wait 10 minutes before adding the additional weight of the princess canopy. By tying the canopy and the hook together, they become one.
This is a lovely addition to our nursery! Because the string provided was a little off centered, we decided to hang it with fishing line. Overall, the canopy is whimsical and well-made.
Once hung, this canopy appears to be very cute, but closer inspection of the construction details raises serious concerns about the product's durability and quality. br>br>The fabric is very weak and the seams are not strong. When I tried to carefully insert the metal hoop (which, by the way, the instructions stated should be tied with fabric loops, but there are none, so you must insert the metal hoop into a small seam around the top), the seams and fabric began to rip as the hoop pulled the fabric taut. In addition, near the bottom of mine, there were some oil-like stains. br>br>Because I don't want to go through the hassle of returning the item, we're keeping it; however, I would not recommend buying it. It'll only take a (short) time for everything to fall apart.
The next morning, her bed was littered with cotton balls. She'd discovered the little white balls could be pulled apart in the middle of the night, and there were definitely pieces large enough to choke on, as well as plenty of smaller pieces that could injure her. If they keep selling it, this product will be the cause of a child's death.
This was a gift for my niece, so I ordered it for her. When you open it, it can be very dangerous. "That circular spring was dangerous to open," my sister said as she unwrapped the package. It's the thing that pierces the canopy. It had been wrapped twice, and when I unwrapped it, it expanded into a larger circle, but the hinge was not secured. "My niece could have been seriously hurt if she had been present when the package was opened, according to my sister. " The instructions, according to Sister, did not include this warning. br>br>Aside from that, my 2-year-old niece is having a blast with the fabric - Instead of a canopy, it's used for hide and seek.
This was purchased so that I could make a reading nook for my children. It's fantastic! I didn't use the screws that came with it to hang it to the ceiling because I didn't want to cause permanent damage, so I instead used the sticky pads that came with it. It hasn't fallen down, which I was afraid of. It's been put to the test by my two children as well. I mean, I'd hang on to it if I could, but so far it's been fine. I'm glad it came with two different ways to hang it: )br>It's also made of soft fabric rather than cheap plastic.
