It was necessary for me to replace the camera in our granddaughter's room because she stays with us 3 to 4 nights a week and the monitor of our old one was broken and I couldn't repair it. As it's such an excellent product, it deserves to receive 5 stars. It is not as good as this monitor as it has a good night vision.
