Sure, it's possible! Every 30 seconds, the parental unit's scan mode cycles through the cameras. This is preferable to using a split screen monitor because I can still hear what's going on.
No, you'd only hear what was going on in the active room. We use the scan1 option, which is a quick scan that takes about 5 seconds. So far, there hasn't been a problem.
Yes, all you have to do is put a screw in the wall and the camera will hang from it. It's also very simple to remove and replace the camera because you simply slide it up to remove it from the screw.
No, the shelf isn't part of the package. The camera has a mounting hole on the back. This shelf is an excellent option.

Selected User Reviews For Infant Optics DXR-8 Add-on Camera (Not Compatible with DXR-8 PRO)
So, we've had the original camera and monitor for two years, and I'd give that setup a four out of five. (Camera quality is mediocre). Naturally, we purchased a second camera for the second child's room, but we chose not to purchase a new monitor because we were on a tight budget. We couldn't get any sleep the first night after installing the second camera on the single monitor because we couldn't turn it off. The monitor switched between cameras every minute or so, with brief silent pauses in between. We have identical white noise machines in each room, but because they are placed at different distances and at different volumes, the monitor displays different frequencies and volumes. It was impossible to sleep due to the constant, distracting, and annoying switching of cameras. I can sleep with a single continuous noise, but switching with small silent pauses in between was excruciating. br>br>This might work if you don't use noise machines, but it didn't for us.
Over the years, we've purchased a few other baby monitors, all of which had some flaw that made them extremely inconvenient to use (for example, you couldn't tilt or pan from the monitor, the night vision wasn't great, etc. ). br>br>This monitor is on the pricey side, but it's worth it in the end because it'll be used on a daily basis.
I would strongly suggest it. We purchased this as a backup camera for our other son's room, and it seamlessly integrated with our existing camera/monitor setup. It was simple to pair the cameras, and switching between them is also simple. The image quality is excellent, the zoom is excellent, and the ability to pan around our children's rooms is a fantastic feature. It's also a great feature to be able to communicate with them using the system. If necessary, I would purchase more of these.
We have three children, so I chose the Infant Optics DXR-100 after doing a lot of research and reading reviews. Monitor for eight babies. The image quality, range, and sound pick-up are all excellent. Because we spend so much time in the living room (and kitchen) with our other children, being able to bring the monitor with us while the baby sleeps gives us peace of mind. This monitor comes highly recommended by me.
The end result is fantastic. It suits both of my children perfectly. The ability to scan is fantastic. At any time during the night, I am awakened by my child's cries for help. The customer service is outstanding; I had a minor microphone issue that was resolved within 24 hours of sending an email to customer service, which is unheard of in my experience. We're no longer in the business of making babies, but I still have a lot of friends who are, and I'm always happy to recommend a product from a company that cares about its customers.
The add-on camera is terrible for some reason. Apart from the fact that there is a baby in the crib, I can't make out much. The original (clearer) image is clearly the first. The add-on can be seen in the second photograph. br>Updated on January 20, 2018: I dialed the phone number on the camera's back. The quality of their customer service was actually quite good. They sent me a few things to try to fix it, then admitted it was broken and replaced it. I just connected it, and so far it's performing just as well as the original.
As a result of my research, I discovered this brand and model. I was sold on it because of the price, camera features, and multiple camera options. Unfortunately, our second camera stopped tilting down about a month after we received it. So I contacted the company and was greeted by Mae, who provided me with excellent customer service. I understand that things go wrong, but a company that is willing to fix it right away deserves 5 stars. - br>Thank youbr>- br>br>br>br>br>br>br Adrianna.
This is an outstanding camera. It is simple to set up and use. It was easy to pair with the parent unit, and we had no issues with it. I like that I can purchase a second camera to monitor both of my children in separate rooms. Both cameras were easily installed on the wall and operated.
