Questions & Answers

How about the mattress? Does he come with one?

You do get a mattress with it. A cloth dampened with soapy water can be used to clean the mattress, followed by a rinse and air drying.

It's hard to carry something with me on the road, as we make weekly 6 hour trips to the dr and I wish to be able to carry something with me on the go. This is fine, is it not?

You can travel with the Cocoon very easily A carrying case is included, and it weighs less than 10 pounds and takes about two minutes to set up.

Is this bassinet fitted with a sheet that has been successful? Does a sheet not need to be used?

Amazon had the Ely's and Co waterproof sheets that I bought for using and they worked The fit was perfect and there was no need for The best way to protect it is with sheets.

If the base is assembled, how wide is it? Do you have to go into a tight area?

I would say 34 inches wide is not too wide

The experience was good until a piece of plastic got stuck
3/5

We have a quite large baby and it's study enough, but I sometimes feel like the mattress can be off-balance. In addition, even though I am sure it is convenient to travel with, it is for sure a beast to assemble I have never wanted to take it apart). We needed a solution for our baby to stay in our room, while allowing our cats to stay with us as well. After looking at a ton of options before purchasing this, it has served me well for that purpose. It's been great for our baby to sleep on it, though I've had concerns about This has been a pretty good bassinet over the past three months for the price, I would say it is worth it. Then, this morning, we woke up to the sound of our daughter choking. She was crying and sputtering. It turned out that one of the plastic wires holding the canopy had poked through and pierced her Seeing and thinking that she could possibly choked or that it could have poked her eye was very scary. My daughter has had fun with the bassinet, but now I'm worried about the safety of the product. This is particularly strange since we have never disassembled it once it is assembled, so there is no explanation for why it came My only reason for not giving it one star is that we have enjoyed it for three.

Fits like a glove! Dockatot deluxe is amazing! I could not be happier with my As people who are constantly on the move, we needed something universal that we could use while I love how easy it is to install the cover
5/5

It works perfectly. This item came with a travel bag, so it will be convenient to use when traveling. The dockatot deluxe + is the best gift for a boy or girl who loves to pose. This is a great resource that I will use.

The frame is sturdy, but not as good as it could be
3/5

Normally, I don't write reviews, but I decided to write this one because I really wanted to love this product. The whole family (we're a big outdoor family) loves to be outside and I have a newborn to take care of. In the end, this product seemed to be the best for keeping baby comfortable and safe. There are only a few pieces you need to put together but getting the legs on it was a huge pain and there is no way they will come off now, making it impossible to fit in the carrying case. Despite the fact that it folds down, it still works. It's been about a week now since I've been using it a few hours a day and the wires to hold the bug net are already breaking. Having a net keeps bugs off the baby while still letting air circulate through. This is the primary reason I bought this product. Because of that, I am deeply disappointed. Unfortunately, the product isn't built to last. It's a great product in theory, but it's not built to last.

Infants can be harmed by this potentially dangerous item
3/5

While the bassinet itself is a great item, the zip-up lid leaves a lot to be desired It may be unsafe for infants inside a bassinet when there is a net on it. In addition to the bassinet, we used the netting for the baby I had been using this cover very often to cover our new born, however the thin plastic support pieces (shown in picture) had torn through the fabric and were protruding over the edge of the bassinet where she Purchasing this item is not advisable because of its thin plastic support pieces that are capable of ripping through the fabric of the net - Cover the basinet with a cover that may cause harm to the child inside it.

The lid of this bassinet is a safety hazard while the base is a dream
3/5

base of the bassinet is great, but the lid poses a safety risk.

As far as the bassinet itself is concerned A sturdy bassinet will come with your baby. It is easy to assemble/disassemble. My infant rolls her way to the edge and presses her face against the perimeter of canvas, which is very high around her face. The mesh siding is great for airflow, but there is a 4-inch edge of canvas at her eye-level. Clearly, she would not be able to completely block her airway with the siding, but I am not willing to take a chance, so I move her when I see her getting too close to the siding. In contrast, the cover is an absolute mess. As a theory, it is wonderful (sits up nicely, has a perfect airflow, keeps cats or unwanted critters out), but as many of the other reviewers have pointed out under this particular bassinet, the plastic supports inside the lid will rip through and fall down. A segment of the clear plastic support was hanging down 6 inches from my baby's face as soon as I saw it! That is terrifying! A replacement was sent to me, but the problem was the same as before. It's important to remember that if you wait long enough, you will tear through most of the supports. As a result, I'm giving it three stars, since the bassinet base deserves five stars, but the lid takes it down a notch. Unless you plan to use the lid often with this bassinet, it's perfect.

That's no fun at all! The first thing I want to say is that I used this for my 14th grade paper
3/5

The baby weighed 2 lbs. Despite our use of it when traveling and for moderate use around the house, the thing started to completely fall apart after only one month of use. I tried to glue fabric glue together, but the fabric is weak and began ripping at the canopy part first. The plastic rods looked like they were poking through, but I was able to put them back through again. Each rod was affected the same way. After I put my son into the bag, I noticed there was a huge rip that I hadn't noticed before in the bottom, where I could see the buckles where the pressure was permeating the fabric. As of now, he is just 5 pounds away from 20lbs and it cannot support his body A very disappointing experience.

A convenient tool to have on hand for short If the legs could be folded instead of completely removing them to travel, it'd be more convenient
5/5

This is a hard little mattress that requires a mattress pad or covering to prevent it from slipping off. I'm not certain if my infant prefers the pack n' play mattress to this for travel, but this is a great bassinet for holidays. Visits together or in a shorter time frame.

It is perfect for bedside use, but it cannot be washed
4/5

This is where my baby has been sleeping since she was born, and she is now 10 months old. There is only a short time left before she is too old! I am glad I got it, it will be at my bedside when I wake up. It could be improved on a couple of fronts -- There could have been a bit more support on the mattress and the mattress cover should have been removable to wash. To wash the fabric, I cut a piece of it so I could wash it it worked well. Regarding the mattress' sturdiness, it's not really been an issue, but I have noticed that it tends to slant a bit.
