If you would like to keep the bassinet level and stable, you should buy the bassinet stand. It is 100% necessary, but it is also very useful.
My belief is that this is not the case. This bassinet fits my 2018 well, but I have heard that the 2020 model is about an inch longer.

We had the same one on our bassinet as well. I could not tell the difference between it and the sheet that came with our 2021 Vista V2 bassinet. There has been some hand washing and hang drying, and it looks good as new now. It is soft but not too plush, making it a perfect sleep space for children.
Earlier this year, I splurged on the Uppababy Vista before having my baby. That the bassinet could be used for sleep was a plus for me I prepared it so that my baby could sleep while on the go. When my son was born, I had intended to use the crib from day one, but he ended up with a c-section It was hard to bend over my crib after having a C-section. In the end, we used the Uppababy bassinet for all sleeping. Currently, my baby is sleeping in his crib, but I still use a bassinet for now (he's three months old) since it allow me to take him out on the go and prevent him from being enclosed too often during the day so that he can keep growing. I needed a washable cover since he loves the bassinet and the stroller so he doesn't get covered in spit up. I have another one ready so that I could wash and dry the cover when it dries.

This is a wonderful cover for our bassinet and I am glad we purchased it as a second cover. If you plan to use the bassinet portion of the stroller, this is a must have if you intend to wash your first one. When the baby spits up on it, we can just wash the second one and use this as a backup.
