In Frozen, this isn't the case.
Plastic. It's quite long-lasting. I've had the plate for about 6 months and it's still in good condition with the picture still on it.
It's been microwaved before. There will be no issues.

Despite seeing a few what I thought were "fluke" reviews claiming it broke easily, I decided to buy it anyway. It was not a wise decision on my part. Since the day it arrived in the mail, my daughter and I have both been enamored with this plate. We were only able to enjoy it for about a week because of the time constraints. Because she is so fond of Moana, I decided to be more vigilant with her when she had the plate and take it away from her before she became antsy in the highchair and started throwing things. That worked in theory until I was putting dishes in the dishwasher and my two-year-old came running by, so excited about her new Moana plate that she tried to grab it out of the dishwasher without me noticing, and it fell to the floor and shattered in that split second. She was still attempting to grab it, which was now in two sharp pieces, which was a little frightening. I still think it's a lovely plate, and I'd love to have it in our home, but I can't justify buying it again. ***Just to be clear, my husband's family is Hispanic, and that plate was never actually put through a dishwasher cycle. The dishwasher is primarily used for temporary storage and drying. So it wasn't because of the hot weather or anything like that. Anyway, if you're looking for a photo op or something, but aren't sure how long this beauty will be around, I'd recommend it.
My 7-year-old's plate is probably the best he's ever had. She asked me to buy this plate, which was around $10 at the time, and I was like, "Seriously, $10?" I bought it for her, and she loves it. It's a sturdy plate that you can use to serve food on. She is ecstatic! It works for me to heat up some taquitos in the microwave on occasion. It also keeps the food separated if you don't want your food to touch your other food. Which is great because my daughter doesn't like it when her food comes into contact with other foods.
Because my kids adore Moana, I bought one for each of them. We use them for snacks (carrot sticks, dip, fruit, granola, dried cranberries, etc. ) and lunch (cold sandwiches, chips or pasta salad, veggies) because they can't be microwaved. We had terrible luck with the matching silverware, despite the fact that it was only hand-washed, so I won't even put these in the dishwasher on the top rack. They're adorable, but they're not practical and are easily broken. My four-year-old picked up her plate to carry it over to the sink and dropped it, cracking it in two places. As a result, I'm only giving it three stars for toughness and durability.
After only one drop, it snaps. This is not a good idea. After only one drop, it snaps. The corner of the plate broke off when my toddler dropped it from his high chair. br>Not intended for children under the age of six.
Is your child as enamored with Minnie Mouse as my 2-year-old daughter? This plate is going to be a game changer. It's something she really enjoys. The dividers are fantastic, and she enjoys eating so that she can see Minnie Mouse's face. As she's thrown it, it's quite powerful, and the plate is still intact. It's a good first plate to get your child used to eating off of real plates.
Two of our grandkids each have one of these (different designs). They know which plate belongs to them and specifically request it. We only use a sponge (the soft side of a sponge) to wash these by hand. (Not the side with the rough surface for scraping food off plates. ) These plates look brand new after many, many uses as a result of this method.
This, on the other hand, is very cute and has a nice little grip on the side to keep it from falling out of my daughter's tiny fingers. It suited her perfectly. I'd like to buy more, but they're too expensive, and I wish they were a little more sturdy and durable, like the old Zak models. It was fairly simple to clean and washed beautifully in my dishwasher's top rack. When it comes to children's plates and flatware, Zak is without a doubt my first choice.
Instead of what the website says about the Frozen plate, look at the attached photo of what was sent. If the child is young, it may not be a big deal, but the plate size is smaller due to the design. Because of the dividers, a full sandwich will not fit on this plate if your child is older than mine.
