Selected User Reviews For Munchkin Splash 4 Piece Toddler Divided Plate and Bowl Dining Set, Blue/Green
Pros:
- Smooth plastic is incredibly simple to keep clean
br>- Taller sides than other toddler plates – keeps food on the plate (even when using a spoon for the first time)! Sides provide a surface for children to push their spoons against while eating. br>- I like how the bottoms have a rubber "grip" that keeps the plates in place and prevents them from sliding around.
- I like the colors, and I'm glad they aren't all the same (good for siblings!). )
- Perfect size: not too big for kids to push around the food, but not too small for a good portion. br>- Divided plates are ideal for children who don't want their foods to touch.
Cons:
- NONE! (As of yet, I haven't discovered any!) )br>These plates and bowls are fantastic, and they're on sale for a great price!! They're especially useful when kids are eating "messy" foods such as spaghetti or waffles (as shown in the photos). This set, as well as any other Munchkin Brand plate or bowl set, comes highly recommended! Please give me a thumbs up if you found my review useful. Thank you a lot!.
These plates and bowls are the ideal size, shape, and depth for a toddler who eats with his or her hands and is learning to use utensils. The price is also unbeatable. Unfortunately, the coating on them is beginning to crack, resulting in sticky spots that are impossible to clean with a cone. br>br>They're usually hand washed, but they've also been washed in the dishwasher's top rack a few times. br>br>I'm so disappointed because this could have been the perfect toddler dish set.
It turns out that no matter how attractive or sturdy a plate or bowl is, if your child ends up chasing it around with his fork (intentionally or unintentionally), it doesn't matter. So we decided to give these Munchkin Splash plates and bowls a try, and THE PROBLEM WAS SOLVED. There will be no roving dishes any longer! br>br>Here's why these plates and bowls are so cool: br>1) They're the perfect size for toddlers: It should be neither too big nor too small. br>2) They are shaped in the following manner: For young hands learning to use forks and spoons, the steep walls make it much easier. Because scooping is more difficult with plates and bowls with short, shallow walls, more food is pushed over the edge. br>3) They are simple to clean and dishwasher and microwave safe. br>4) They can easily be stacked for storage. br>5) They are actually modern and appealing to the eye, with vibrant but not overpowering colors. br>6) Most importantly, they REMAIN IN PLACE! Is there anything about these plates and bowls that I don't like? br>br>Is there anything I don't like about them? I'm sorry, but I'm at a loss for words. We'll definitely buy more of these, and I expect them to last a long time; it's a fantastic product, Munchkin.
I bought these because I needed some divided plates for a project I was working on. My 19-month-old son. They're a good size for a toddler, and the depth is just right. br>They are very colorful, bright, and lively. Hard plastic that is quite durable. br>Washing is simple, and it's dishwasher and microwave safe.
We've had these for a couple of weeks and I'm so glad we got them! Because we have three small children, everything in our house is color coded. We've gone through several of the character melamine divided plates, all of which have cracked and chipped. These are in a different league! They are much thicker and have a non-skid ridge on the bottom, making it more difficult for new self feeders to slide off the table. This works well for one of our children who is adamant about their food not touching.
Also, because they are not as bored with a one-item plate, the kids are far more entertained and stay in their seats for much longer. They examine every single food item from their munchkin sippy cup to the bowl to the various compartments in the tray. I had no idea that this was the key to getting them to stay and eat more at dinner time. This item is a must-have for small children, in my opinion. Get a set and you'll be happier, use more food from the fridge instead of forgetting it's there despite your best efforts, and your kids will eat better.
Because of the rounded corners, these plates are very easy to clean, and unlike silicone plates, they do not retain grease or odors from food or dish detergent. They don't slide around thanks to the rubberized feet. These colors go well with his Munchkin 360 cups, in my opinion.
The plates and bowls are a good size, and the plates have dividers and deep walls, which I like. We have not used these items in the dishwasher or microwave, despite the fact that the product description states that they are safe to do so; however, they are easy to clean by hand. The only complaint we have about this set is that utensils can scratch the surface of the plates and bowls.
