I'd give it a 0 out of 5 star rating if I could. Take a look at the photo to see how I got the item. It is a toy for kids. There are a lot of sharp plastic pieces that have broken off. Whoever packaged this and sent it off in such a manner should be fired.
Because my two daughters (20 months and almost three years old) adore princesses, I purchased these for them. When my 20-month-old bumped the bowl to get her water cup, the bowl broke into four pieces after falling about three feet. I'm disappointed because we only had it for a few days and it happened all at once. I believe they should be able to withstand a few drops because they were designed for children.
This option appealed to me because it stated that it was break resistant. The overall quality appears to be good, but the bowl slipped from my daughter's grip and shattered when it fell about 2 feet to the ground. I felt let down. I'm hoping they'll send me a replacement bowl because the plate is fine, leading me to believe the bowl had a hairline crack from the start.
This set elicited a lot of enthusiasm from my granddaughter. It arrived in a timely manner and was extremely adorable. The problem was that she dropped the bowl before she could even eat from it, shattering it into three pieces. Although I understand that it isn't indestructible, I don't believe it should have broken after being dropped two feet. They're designed for kids, and kids drop things all the time. The plate and cup are fine, but the bowl is a huge letdown.
This is why it's so critical to read reviews. Aside from the fact that the plate was broken and the cup was bent when it arrived, the material is extremely sharp and dangerous, making it unsuitable for children. I'm not sure what would have happened if this item had gotten into the hands of my hyperactive son. This was a complete waste of money; the photographs and descriptions are stunning and exactly what I was looking for. The truth turned out to be a huge letdown. If this had gotten into the hands of my son, we would have had a very different conversation.
Overall, it's a lovely set that my daughter adores. This would make a wonderful gift for a Peppa Pig fan. br>I expected the plate to be a little bigger. It's 8" tall and has a shabby appearance. If you cut food on it, I can imagine it scratching. The cup is also a little smaller than expected, but it fits perfectly in the palms of small hands. It's somewhere between 4 and 5. The size is 25" tall and the color is transparent blue. This set's bowl is my personal favorite. Adorable for ice cream, cereal, pudding, and other desserts. br>I wouldn't put any of these in the dishwasher because they appear to be susceptible to damage. Personally, I'd wash them with a soft sponge and warm, soapy water. br>Here is a link to a video I made. Thanks! br>I hope that this information is useful.
Do not make a purchase. Very flimsy and low-cost construction. After only one use, the bowl broke. The bowl's bottom was shattered. My son was disappointed to say the least. I've purchased other products from the same brand, and none of them are made as poorly as this one. What a colossal squandering of resources. When I saw how cheap the fabric was, I should've returned it immediately.
Keep an eye on things. Because of the misleading photos, I only gave it two stars. They show the box in which it comes, and it clearly states that there are three pieces: a plate (1), a bowl (1), and a cup (1) = three. The fork and knife, as well as an additional sippy cup, are shown in photos 5 and 6 for the Paw Patrol set. I don't mind, but my 3-year-old son, who chose the set on his own, was disappointed to find no fork/spoon or sippy cup when he opened it.
