Pros:
- Smooth plastic is incredibly simple to keep clean
br>- Taller sides than other toddler plates – keeps food on the plate (even when using a spoon for the first time)! Sides provide a surface for children to push their spoons against while eating. br>- I like how the bottoms have a rubber "grip" that keeps the plates in place and prevents them from sliding around.
- I like the colors, and I'm glad they aren't all the same (good for siblings!). )
- Perfect size: not too big for kids to push around the food, but not too small for a good portion. br>Cons:
- NONE! (As of yet, I haven't discovered any!) )br>These plates are fantastic, and they're on sale for a fantastic price!! They're especially useful when kids are eating "messy" foods such as spaghetti or waffles (as shown in the photos). This set (as well as any Munchkin Brand plate) comes highly recommended. cups)! Please give me a thumbs up if you found my review useful. Thank you a lot!.
After using these for young toddlers for several years in my previous job as a nanny, I decided to try them out on someone new. My 94-year-old grandfather's dexterity is fading, and his coordination isn't what it used to be. We try to allow him to live a dignified life as much as possible, and feeding him isn't consistent with that goal. Because of the deep edges and suction on the bottom, these small dishes work well. I strongly advise both toddlers and the elderly to use it.
These plates were something I really wanted to enjoy. They're a good size, with a nice high edge to keep spills at bay. They're also safe to use in the microwave and in the dishwasher. br>However, simply cutting things in them with a butter knife resulted in scratches and deep grooves almost immediately. These aren't going to last long, in my opinion. br>br>Edited on 5/9/20: They've held up extremely well after almost two years of use. It received a five-star rating from me. The scratches are merely visible, but they have no bearing on the functionality of the device. I also bought the divided plates, and I really like them!.
These plates are extremely durable, having been used at least twice daily for nearly a year. Cleaning is a breeze. I only used the top rack in the dishwasher with them. I know they can be microwaved, but I try to avoid using the microwave for anything plastic (including these). br>br>I've only used them a few times in the microwave, and one of the plates isn't microwaveable. So far, one plate has been microwaved twice, but it will never be used again. I believe there is a piece of metal in one of the plates because it sparked immediately both times. Because the sparks have left a burnt mark on the plate, I just don't microwave them anymore. br>br>Also, don't use tomato sauce that has been heated. It'll leave a mark. When tomato sauce is microwaved, it stains any plastic. That's something I've had to learn the hard way over the years. It is easily scratched. br>br> Not only from the fork of a toddler (we use the Munchkin metal utensil set), but also from us cutting up food on the plate. As a result, we no longer cut food on these plates and instead use our stoneware plates to heat and cut up our food. But, to be honest, I'd buy these again because they're a fantastic set that's lasted almost a year.
My husband raves about how long-lasting and non-toxic these are. Kid-friendly, breakable, and thick Trays and plates that are friendly. Our boys are 3 and 6 years old right now, and after our first set, we purchased several more. They were fantastic simply because they were. We can use them to cut up steak or chicken and serve everything from breakfast to spaghetti to sandwiches and chips for lunch. These would be fantastic to use as a starting point for transitioning from baby to toddler food and beyond. They're a non-profit organization. Breakable, dishwasher safe (even if placed on the bottom shelf by accident), and non-skid on a table PERFECT plates for a small child. br>br>.
There's a tacky trim on the plate to keep it from sliding, but nothing to keep a child from picking it up. My son is no longer attempting to pick up his plate, but we needed something that wouldn't slide out from under his fork as he reached for something. With that in mind, they were a success. It's a fantastic little plate that's dishwasher safe and easy to clean. The sides are tall enough to prevent food from being shoveled onto the table as your child learns to use utensils, but not so deep that you feel like you're eating out of a bowl.
This purchase was a good buy. Used on a daily basis and washed in the dishwasher. Cleaning is a breeze. The only disadvantage is that they are scratched when metal silverware is used on them. Time will tell how long they last as a result of this, but I'm pleased so far. They have a rubber backing that prevents them from sliding around on the table while still allowing them to be moved. I'd give it as a gift to someone who has a toddler.
skid. Love it! I was making use of ez-navigation. My toddler used to eat out of a pz bowl/plate, but his appetite had grown, and the built-in placemats prevented him from getting bowls close enough to his body when drinking slurpy/soupy things. Then I came across these munchkin plates (which I also purchased the bowls for). They're a good size and have rubbery padding on the bottom to keep the plate from skidding across his high chair tray, which he can't do yet because he doesn't know how to hold it still with his other hand.
