I agree. Is there anyone who knows?
Yes! I place a silicone mat on the table and then place the dish on top of it. Suction is excellent for me!
For my 8-month-old, it's not strong enough. He discovered that if he pushes it forward and then pulls it back, it releases.
I also have a toddler who flings it around quite a bit. So far, everything has gone well. Bamboo is used to make the plate. As a result, unlike glass or plastic, it will not shatter.

Now I do! This plate was something I really wanted to fall in love with. Plastic is not an option! It stays put on the table! It appeared to be ideal, but my 11-year-old daughter had other ideas. month- The plate was freed after my 12-year-old daughter figured out how to slide it toward her and release the suction. Within ten minutes of using it, she figured it out. It's a great idea, but I won't be able to use it because of my child. br>br>5/22/16 UPDATE: The owner contacted me to see if I wanted a larger and more powerful replacement suction ring. When I get the new ring, I'll let you know what I think. 5/27/16: br>br> The plate now does what it promises, thanks to the new suction ring! With the new design, it's a fantastic plate!.
They're lovely, and I appreciate the fact that they're made entirely of natural, healthy materials. I bought about five of them because I was so taken with them. However, only 7 days later, After 8 months of use, three of the plates have black spots in the corner, which I believe are mold! Mold on my precious daughter's plates makes me sick to my stomach. We used vinegar and lemon to try to get rid of the mold, but it didn't work very well. We followed all of the usage instructions, so I'm very disappointed, especially given the price. I suppose we shouldn't have soaked them to clean them, but since they're hand wash only, it was the only way to get stubborn food off of them. There was also no mention of not soaking them in the instructions. We'll be using a different material to replace these plates.
After about 3 months of use, a section of the underneath wooden part broke. I'm not sure if this was a bad batch or if they're all made badly. As a result, I can no longer use it with the suction portion, which defeats the purpose because my toddler would otherwise throw it off the table.
According to what I've seen, there are a bunch of whiners and complainers about a really nice baby product who are doing so for no reason. First and foremost, we've had the Avanchy suction bowl for more than a year and use it on a daily basis. The suction is excellent, and it's even better if you wet the surface slightly before applying it. We even condition the bamboo with a little olive oil overnight to keep it looking nice after it's been washed out. br>br>When I went to buy the plate (we were so happy with the bowl), I was surprised at how many negative reviews there were (e. g. "It's too small of a plate!" It's actually the perfect serving size for my TWO-YEAR-OLD, WHO IS IN THE 90TH PERCENTILE FOR SIZE! , or. "The suction on the plate is insufficient!" um. I had no trouble sticking it down, and I actually had to pull pretty hard to get it up without pulling on the release tab) wah! wah! wah! br>br>On top of that, there's the fact that When your child outgrows the suction portion of the plate, it can be used as a nice decorative piece or as a nut snack plate for a wine and cheese dinner party! You get a lot of bang for your buck!.
The baby plate is fantastic! Most other suction items don't stick to the table (surface isn't super smooth) because we have the Stokke TrippTrapp high chair. This is quite effective. When it starts to unstick, the baby pulls it off, but I'd say it has some of the best suction I've ever seen. I really like the food compartments. The spoon, on the other hand, I believe is a little too wide for my baby's mouth (he began using it at 6 months and is now almost 9 months old). I have to switch spoons every now and then. I like the silicone tip of the spoon, and the handle is the perfect size, but the tip is just too wide for her to use; she'll eventually grow into it, but it might take a while.
We use it at home for finger foods as well as when we go out to eat. It's great to have this in restaurants so I can cut up food for the baby and he can feed himself while we eat. Only once has the suction failed me in a restaurant where the table was made of natural, rough wood, and no suction could possibly stick to that. br>br>When I ordered a second yellow plate, the suction part was noticeably smaller and did not work well. When I contacted the company, they apologized and explained that the smaller ring was an older model. They immediately replaced my suction piece with a newer, larger one. br>br>I am a huge fan of this plate and would recommend it to anyone. I've tried a few other brands, but none of them compare to this one. My one-year-old found it to be the perfect size. I'm frequently asked where I bought it in restaurants.
Our 15-month-old twins haven't completely destroyed them yet, though they have thrown them on the floor a few times. br>The plate's suction is quite powerful, but not powerful enough for my toddlers. They'll be able to pry it off with their hands. To be honest, I don't believe there is a strong enough suction to prevent it. I'm careful not to leave it in the water, and I dry it right away, so it's been about two months and the plates are still looking great. The fact that it was so small took me by surprise. However, it continues to function. br>br>The spoon is also cute, but it's a little too big for me, so I don't use it as much. However, because the length is ideal, my boys enjoy using it to practice feeding themselves. br>br>Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and am considering purchasing the bowl as well.
