Throughout her childhood, my first child used the slow flow nipple. I didn't see the point in changing because she was responding well. I noticed that my second child (who is now 8 months old) took a long time to finish her bottles. After about 10 minutes, I believe she lost interest in drinking. I even got a message from our daycare asking if she could try a faster flow nipple the other day, so I figured it was time to try the medium flow. br>br>As soon as the nipples arrived, I washed them and tried one. My eight-month-old did exceptionally well! She was able to drink more quickly without choking. She even slobbered less, which was a pleasant surprise, and I've used them a few times since then. I just ordered a few more sets of nipples to replace my daughter's slow-flowing ones - I should've done it a long time ago. br>br>*UPDATE: br>br> My daughter has been using the medium flow nipple on all bottles since she was 11 months old. Because the hole is so large, the formula/breast milk just pours out. It would have been just as messy if I had given my baby a cup of formula instead. Because of these dreadful nipples, I just dumped a third of a bottle all over my baby. I like Tommee Tippee bottles, but this purchase was terrible and completely ineffective!.
I found exactly what I was looking for! I kept looking for this size in stores, but I couldn't find it. The nipples that come with the bottles when you buy them are for newborns, but the nipples themselves have a 1 on them, making them too fast for babygirl. There have been mixed reviews on these, but the package I received is the extra slow flow with the 0 on them! I've had no problems since switching nipples, and the flow is much better for a breastfed baby. I wish they came in a set of three because most Tommy Tippee bottles come in sets of three when purchased, so you either buy an extra or need one more lol. Thank you, Amazon, for having these!.
