Questions & Answers
They are only compatible with Avent bottles.
Before I wash them, I soak them in warm soapy water.br> I didn't see them turn yellow. It is also recommended that Nipples be replaced every three months. It took me four months to complete it.
They have an antique look to them. But don't waste your money because you'll end up throwing them all away.
They do, indeed.

I was eager to try these size 4 avent nipples when they arrived today. I noticed that each nipple only has three holes instead of the four that 6mos nipples are supposed to have, but I decided to use them anyway. I went on to make a bottle for my son, and when I finished shaking it, I noticed milk splatters inside the cap. The leaking was due to these nipples! Drops were coming out of the base of the nipple and the ring when I tipped the bottle down. The old nipples were never a problem for me. Such a letdown.
With a thickened formula, we chose the fast flow 4 nipple. Acid reflux is a problem for our son. He's a "happy spitter" who pukes regardless of what you do to him. Rice cereal was suggested by the pediatrician as a thickening agent. The Avent adjustable flow nipples designed for thickened formula flowed WAY too quickly - even at III level I. We've found that this size works best for our 4-year-old son. 6 months. He's doing much better with the adjustable nipple now that we've started purees. You may have to buy every size (like I did) and cycle through as things change, depending on your child's mouth size, suction, skill, and interest, among other factors. The last two months have been enjoyable.
The old model, which had two vents, worked perfectly (.
This is a brand that I've seen and used a lot. It's my favorite, but the packaging isn't typical. It arrived in this condition, with only one nipple rather than two, and no plastic packaging. It's strange.
Avent bottle nipples were and continue to be a favorite of mine. I bought three packs of two, took out all six nipples from the packaging, inspected them, found nothing wrong with them, washed them, dried them, and then discovered one of them was dry rotted and cracked, with pieces of it crumbling. br>Amazon's only option for a replacement is to return the order; I'm not digging through trash for the packaging, and I don't want to return all 6 nipples because (surprise!) I needed them. I'll have to call Phillips to see if they'll replace it, and because a manufacturer should be notified when their product fails, but given that I purchased it from Amazon, I'd expect Amazon to handle it rather than me calling the manufacturer!.
READ! Going from a size 3 to a size 4 should be approached with caution. I'm not sure why. The spiral nipple style is replaced by a non-spiral nipple style. (In my photo, you can see the difference. ) I haven't been able to locate a spiral-style size 4 pencil. I'm not sure why, but in the last year and a half, I've noticed a significant increase in the My son has lost a pound in five months and refuses to drink from his bottles. He'd only take about 2 ounces from his bottle if he did take it. I've been trying to figure out why for a while now. And it's only now that I realize it's because the SIZE 4 STYLE is different! I spoke with my pediatrician, who advised me to return to the size 3 because he clearly dislikes the new size 4 style. She stated that it is more important for him to eat than it is for the flow to be fast. br>br>I wish I'd known this before he lost a pound and was practically starving, and I just didn't realize it was because of the damn nipple!.
The nipples are leaking all over the ring. Initially, the cap had milk splatters, but when the baby was fed, milk began to drip all over the place. We initially assumed it was the baby spitting up, but it turned out to be the nipple leaking around the base. We attempted to tighten the ring but were unable to resolve the problem. The nipples appear to be softer than the ones we've been using for level 1, 2, and 3 flow. If the company changed the material, it was a poor decision.
These nipples are filthy and all of them are leaking! In comparison to the other sizes (0-4) they only have one square knotch to vent out. Where there are two, there are three nipples. Is it possible that they leak due to a lack of vent? Whatever the case may be, these are defective, and more milk will be wasted on the bib or your child's clothing.
