Questions & Answers

Is this garbage can large enough to hold the bags I need?

It is ridiculous to have 13 gallons. 8 gallons would do the job just fine. Approximately 19 ounces are in the can. The size of an 8 gallon bag is 24" by 22". This size bag is 5 tall and 11 wide.

What is the maximum number of diapers that can be stored in this before it needs to be emptied? The object appears to be very ?

It's hard for me to count diapers without actually counting them. It takes our newborn one or two days to fill out. Our old one has been replaced by a second one, so we now have one on every The two cylinders need to be emptied within the next four days. The same can be said for smells, which is really cool.

Can you tell me how tall this is?

Fit smoothly and don't leak at all, which is why I prefer PlanetWise pail liners. It is better to get two so that you can wash one and put the clean one in the pail.

Do you have access to regular trash bags, and if so, what type should you use?

I have a job. To use the bags, they should be kitchen trash can size drawstring bags work best for me. This is a great product.

No matter how steel it is, it still smells bad when it's empty
3/5

First of all, it does not have an odor as it should Despite the fact that the room still smells like dirty diapers, the smell hasn't gone away. In addition, since there is no containment chamber (it's designed that way), you can feel the full force of the poopy stink when you open it to throw a dirty diaper in. And no matter how small the pail may be, it still smells bad In spite of the fact that it is metal, and everyone claiming that metal doesn't retain scent. In terms of steel (the main feature), I gave this pail a shot, but There have been two plastic diaper pails we have tried before (and this is the third one). So I will go back to using the plastic diaper genie, which at least somewhat contains the odor when you open it to throw another dirty diaper inside.

After being used for 8 months, this review has been updated
3/5

It seemed like a great idea when I first saw it, but then I discovered there were drawbacks. I have been in the job for about two months. Things began to go wrong as time passed. This drawer has a hard latch that makes it difficult to open and close but the worst part is that it smells. The smell persisted even when the lid was When the bin is completely empty and cleaned out with bleach, it still has a bad smell. It's worse than plastic pails, in my opinion. The pail I had also began to rust on the inside. Are you serious? When I contacted the company, I thought maybe there had been a problem with my As it turns out, sometimes the seal on the lid does not work properly, wherefore they sent me a replacement. Well, I installed the new lid, and it doesn't seem to do anything about the odor. When it comes to diaper pails, this is one of the more expensive ones, but it should be less likely to stink because of its features. The truth is out there, I promise.

The stink is sealed in! The lidded garbage can served as a diaper pail for a long time, but once baby started eating solids, it wasn't practical
5/5

The poop smells so bad! This was the result of much research, and I've been very happy with it! Adding a seal to the bag keeps the stink in, and it holds the bag securely when it's full. Putting a diaper after a diaper after a diaper will not work.

There is one fault in this good product
4/5

The smell is kept in great condition this way! In addition to taking away one star, I was expecting it to seal off the inside when you open the top (like the original version does), but it doesn't. The smell escapes every time the top is opened, so that whenever you put the diaper in the pail, it escapes for a few seconds. I would recommend this product to others.

When I had to get rid of the residue from very fast drying products, it was disappointing
4/5

However, I was disappointed that I had to remove the residue from a large sticker that came on the front of the pail, but otherwise I am very happy with it. The steel base, the fact that I can use the bags of my choice, and the fact that the container holds smells in nicely when closed are especially appealing to me.

This is a great buy! In addition to the diaper Genie, I also have baby wipes
5/5

My method of using this is to use kitchen bags. It does not take up much room, but it is sealed in for a long time. I would absolutely recommend this product!.

The quality is high, but the size is After the first few weeks, we plan to use this with cloth diapers for twins, even if they are in cloth diapers at first
4/5

In the pail, we were able to fit wet bags without any problems. We are worried that it will not be able to hold as many diapers as we would like. It is still a very good product however.

Worked fine since my daughter is just a few weeks old, and we have not used heavy duty poop diapers yet
5/5

Once I've had it for a few months, I'll be able to tell you how well it performs.
