That's not the case, in my opinion. Especially designed for hybrid cloth diaper systems, these have mostly leakproof backings to prevent the cloth diaper shell from getting wet in the process. A baby in two diapers would be the same thing as a baby in one diaper.
The materials used to make this product are biodegradable and compostable.
The baby I have is exclusively breastfed at 3 months old. Her poos were not contained in them, and most of them probably wouldn't have been considered blowouts if I had used prefolds instead.

I'm amazed at how good these are. On trips, we often use disposable diapers, and I wish we'd known about these liners sooner! We cloth diaper at home, but often cave in and use disposable diapers somewhere else. It costs only a few cents less than leading brand diapers, but they're biodegradable and all natural. It's almost tempting to use them all the time, but I know they're only a little better than cloth diapers so I resist. You could still use these as an alternative to traditional disposable diapers if you are deterred from washing but still want an environmentally friendly option. By the way, they fit perfectly with Thirstiest Duo snap covers.
It was mentioned that they are about the same price as a disposable diaper, but I am not sure of that. I think they are a little more expensive, but I like that you don't have left over disposables after using them once you get back. They are great to keep in your diaper bag or for travel. You don't have to keep and replenish your diaper bag with cloth inserts when you use this. Despite trying all the other brands, I did my research and found that these were the best. They never leak, they are super absorbent, they pack small, and the diaper shells stay very clean, so when you are out you aren't wearing dirty cloth. I love these.
These are used when we are away from home for an extended period of time. Prefolds and covers make up the bulk of our diapering routine. Our Grovia shells didn't support leaks (possibly because the shells don't support Grovia). This would cause the leak because the liner would shift. Rather than cramming a prefold or a washcloth underneath this insert, I fold a newborn prefold or a folded adult-sized washcloth under the insert. This fills in the extra space that is left in the cover and prevents the liner from shifting. It does not take me any longer to stick the liner down once it is attached. Occasionally, I need to use my filler to repair Traveling with wet cloth still makes things a little awkward, but it's easier to deal with than full cloth while on the road. Additionally, the fact that one of them is a When we run out of something, I usually buy more of that item. Neither my disposable babies or baby grow out of these between trips, and I don't know what size disposable they are in. This is important to me since they are In an effort to be environmentally friendly, we cloth diaper. This insert puts my mind at ease when we use it to protect against leaks.
The liners soaked up my child's urination, but they were slimy, hard to remove, and hard to clean. Once I tried removing the sticky tabs that stuck to the diaper but I couldn't remove them without tearing them off, which meant all of the baby's insides were Even without removing the sticky tape, the inserts held in place and were Although I did not experience blowouts, the pee diapers soaked the shell so I could not reuse them again, which kind of defeats the purpose of AI-2's. While I value the idea, I did not like these that much, and it made cloth diapering during vacation even more difficult. My Grovia shells worked far better in my disposable inserts. I purchased these after our move and loved them.
However, I had no idea night time diapering would be such a challenge. I use pocket diapers, but even with multiple inserts, a fleece liner, and an extra layer on top, my heavy wetter still soaked right through them, and I ended up with a huge, The first time I saw these, I thought they were incredible. either a diaper without an insert or a fitted diaper, then I just lay these biosoakers in there and my child's dry. This means approximately 11 hours of work). In addition to using them on the road, we also use them for travel, since they hold up well and are easy to dispose of after a long period. This material is very soft to the touch and effectively wicks moisture away.
When we're apart from the house or visiting friends, I use these to pack enough cloth liners foe the trip. The diaper bag can get pretty full if we're packing enough cloth liners for long trips. The absorb a lot of urine (and do a great job of holding in breastmilk poops), but you need to position them high enough in the front if you have a boy, otherwise he will pee right through them. Our son is now 6 months old, and we have been using these cloth pocket diapers in his cloth diapers since he was 2 months old The cloth pad keeps the biosoaker and diaper from wadding up between his legs when I slip it into the diaper pocket to give it some shape.
The purpose of these was to take them across the country on vacation. My first use of sticky tabs was to cover my diapers until I realized it was ripping away the PUL. 4 diapers have been ruined with an estimated cost of A few places where there is adhesion are also impossible to remove. This product has inferior absorbency to the 4 layer bamboo inserts I use normally, and it is just as thin.
They are also awesome for running errands when I am on the go. You can go to a beach or lake. If you put a thin cotton or hemp insert inside the shell, the biosoaker won't adhere as much as it does to the mesh liner and no residue is left In addition, it offers protection from breastfed baby blow outs. I have only experienced a couple leaks most likely because the biosoaker was not opened all the way as it should have been, and the ends had formed glue on their own. I was able to keep my shell clean and dry due to the thin cotton insert I had inside. It took me only a few seconds to toss the biosoaker, and the wet bag only needed one thin insert.
