Questions & Answers

Is this a better version of nosefrieda's?

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah We first got the nosefrida and then saw this one and decided to give it a shot because it came with a case. The Munchkin one is easier to handle (small bulb vs. long tube), and it has different sizes for the nose part so you can get better suction, and our kid will actually sit still for this one, whereas she wiggled and cried for the nose frida (for reasons I don't understand).

Is it safe to put it in the dishwasher?

The Munchkin Clear Nose Baby Nasal Aspirator is not dishwasher safe. After each use, disassemble the aspirator and clean it. Rinse thoroughly after washing with soap and water. Do not microwave or steam sterilize the nose tip; instead, clean it with a cotton swab. A few drops of rubbing alcohol can be used to clean the air tube and mouthpiece.

Is there a barrier between you and the baby that will filter the air? Suction is a good way for viruses and bacteria to spread. ?

No, the aspirator does not have an air filter. Only the mucus barrier, not the air, separates you from the baby.

Is it possible to take off the mouthpiece? My biggest gripe with Frida's nose is that it loosens and warps over time. ?

The mouth piece on the Munchkin Clear Nose Baby Nasal Aspirator does not detach, good morning.

Pros: It's not necessary to suck too hard
4/5

- Unlike the blue suction bulbs, it does not frighten my baby.
- With mouth, it is possible to create a longer and stronger suction. br> Different tip sizes for different nose sizes and boogers that are deeperbr>- White is ideal for me because I prefer neutral colors. It doesn't look tacky if I just leave it lying around in her room. br>- It is simple to clean silicone tips. They're soft, but not so soft that they'll collapse when you use them. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. br>This one, on the other hand, is truly terrible.
- Some of the watery booger droplets fly up the tube and into your mouth if you suck them out really hard. When it first happened, it grossed me out, but as long as you don't suck as hard when the boogers are watery, you'll be fine.

Remove the bulbs from the equation
5/5

I had no idea about this type of product when my first two children were born, and I feel like I was missing out. I despise those obnoxious nose bulbs. They hardly ever work, are difficult to clean when they do, and are despised by the children. It's incredibly easy to use, and it doesn't bother my two-month-old (he was less than a month when I started using it, and he's always been fine). br>br>It's incredibly easy to clean, there are no filters to purchase, and it performs far better than I expected. The fact that it doesn't get boogers anywhere near my mouth is perhaps the most important feature.

It's a huge improvement over the blue version
5/5

I had a blue one from another company that I used with my now two-year-old and then with my two-month-old. However, I had the impression that it was missing something. My two-month-old's nasal openings, which I refer to as nose holes, are extremely small. I knew it was because I was sucking the side of her nostril into the opening and not getting snot because she would scream. I happened upon this Munchkin book by accident and had to purchase it right away. I did so because of the various sizes of nasal aspirator tips. I sterilized it, sprayed some saline spray in my daughter's nose, inserted it, and sucked out all kinds of snot as soon as I got it. She smiled and fell asleep almost immediately because she could now breathe! This device is a lifesaver, and it's far superior to the blue one. I was at a loss for what I could do to assist my daughter. Sitting in the bathroom, holding her, and running the shower on high to create steam. Everything from saline spray to incline sleeping. It wasn't until we got this that I felt like I could truly help her. Purchase it; you will not get saline or snot in your mouth, and you and your baby will be able to sleep comfortably.

It appeals to my tastes
4/5

The length is a little on the short side. But, to be honest, I still like this product; I like that I don't have to buy separate filters, and I haven't had any problems with mucus overflow. I read somewhere that putting a bit of tissue inside the bulb to catch some of the boogies helps with the cleaning process, and I believe it is true. I've tried other brands, but this one is by far my favorite. I also like how small and compact it is, and how it comes with a convenient plastic container to store or pack in a diaper bag or purse.

Frida's Nose is superior to hers
5/5

When I first bought the Nose Frida after having my baby, I had no idea that there were other options. Then this came across my path while I was shopping on Amazon, and because it offered free returns, I decided to give it a shot, and I'm so glad I did! It's more effective than the Nose Frida, and my child now smiles at me as I clear her nose. She used to cry most of the time and only look at me once in a blue moon. It also has several nose size options for a good seal, and the nose piece is a soft rubbery texture, which I like. The icing on the cake is that it comes in a handy travel case. I ended up purchasing a second one to keep in our diaper bag because I loved it so much. This is fantastic, and I strongly advise you to check it out.

But it's great
4/5

Due to my child's proclivity for respiratory infections, I've grown accustomed to sucking snot from her nose. After the most recent infection, it appeared that the nosefrida wasn't working as well as it had in the past, and the long tube was kinking at the base, so I decided to try something new. I had excellent results from the first suck; I like the shorter tube, the multiple nose attachment options, and the fact that I don't have to change the filter every day. However, without a filter, I've had snot and saline come up the tube on several occasions, and I've come close to getting a mouthful of snot. For the time being, it's a risk I'm willing to take because the payoff is so much better.

This is a terrible idea
5/5

I mean that in a positive light. This thing is fantastic! But, to be honest, I cringed almost every time I saw one of these gadgets. I wish I'd tried it sooner, but I'm glad I did. My almost one-year-old still despises anything that goes in her nose and has a meltdown whenever I use it on her, but my three-year-old finds it amusing when I do. That's quite a statement coming from a little girl who, like her younger sister, used to have major meltdowns involving screaming and crying. This product comes highly recommended from me.

For small stuffy noses, this is a simple solution
5/5

This is the simplest method for relieving stuffed noses in small children. You can adjust the size of your baby's nostrils with three attachments. Simply place the straw at the base of the nostrils and gently suck on the end. You'll be surprised at how much gunk you'll be able to get rid of. And it collects at the bottom, with no way to get to your mouth (a common concern expressed by parents when we tell them we use a "snot sucker"). Physically, it isn't possible. I promise. )br>When we use this nasal aspirator, our baby actually smiles! It provides immediate relief for her, which is also reassuring to us.
