It contains 33% baby lotion, so you can technically do both in one step instead of having to use the wash or shampoo lotion. It works well and leaves my baby's skin soft and scented.
Everything is the same. The company's name and packaging were recently changed. The ultra moisturizing wash has been replaced with a gentle wash, and the cap is now aqua rather than blue.
It could most likely be used as a facial cleanser. Other facial products from Cetaphil are available. All skin types can benefit from Cetaphil Dermacontrol Foam Wash or Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. They're designed to be worn on the face only.

I am not going to buy any more Cetaphil products. Their ingredients are harmful to the skin, especially when used for an extended period of time. COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, or CAPB, is a CARCINOGEN. These big money-making corporations include one or two organic or natural products to make it look/appear as if they are healthy for us, but they aren't! My daughter's dermatologist recommended Cetaphil, so I've been buying it for quite some time. Just because a doctor recommends something doesn't mean it's healthy for us. I wish I'd known about the potentially harmful ingredients a long time ago. Before buying any Cetaphil skin care products, please do your homework. Propylparben and Butylparben are two different types of propylparben. Please/Thank you for not using parabens in your products!.
This baby wash smells wonderful and does not irritate my child's sensitive skin. Before using this wash, she was suffering from severe eczema. We used Johnson's oatmeal wash, Aveeno oatmeal wash, aquaphor baby wash, and then this. All of this appeared to aggravate the situation. There are no issues with it as we use this on a daily basis. That's quite remarkable considering how severe it was.
The product itself is excellent, but the squeeze design is terrible! We squandered a lot of soap by trying to get a small amount from the bottle. br>br>I have to buy a new bottle every two weeks. At first, I simply told my 5-year-old daughter not to use so much soap in the tub that it splattered everywhere. I washed her one day and discovered how difficult it is to get the soap out. So I poured the soap into a hand soap dispenser (which I had previously saved an empty bottle of soap) and the problem was solved. br>br>I'm hoping they'll change the cap to make it easier to remove the soap.
It smells great, which I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing because it can irritate a baby, but mine seems to be fine; my LO has sensitive skin, and it surprisingly doesn't cause her to break out. One thing I don't like about it is that you can't choose how much to give out. Regardless of how slowly or weakly you squeeze the bottle, a large amount of liquid emerges. It's a waste of money because the baby doesn't require much. Apart from that, I'm pleased (I'm not a chemist, so I won't know if it contains any potentially harmful ingredients). It does state that it has some sort of surfate, which I believe is a bad thing.
My daughter likes it a lot. It has a pleasant scent. Other reviewers' only "complaint" is that when you squeeze it, nothing comes out at first. To overcome the valve's resistance, you must reach a certain critical pressure - When you do, however, a lot of it spills out (which is wasteful). There's no way to just dispense a small amount at a time; if you're washing yourself, it's probably fine, but if you're washing a 20-pound baby, it's WAY TOO MUCH. The product, on the other hand, is fantastic.
It does have a light scent to it, which neither of us is bothered by, and we've had good luck with it, with neither of us breaking out. It does not seem to be very moisturizing to me. Perhaps it's our skin, not the wash, that's causing the problem. I had to get used to the bottle in order to not waste it; it takes a little practice to figure out how to squeeze it so you don't waste too much. I paid a lot more for it in the store, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get it on here when it was on sale.
It's made with great ingredients, feels great, and smells lovely. br>br>In my family, everyone's skin is extremely sensitive. This is the first body wash that none of us have had an allergic reaction to. br>br>Mom, dad, 9-year-old boy, toddler, and newborn have all given their approval. Even better than my favorite, shea moisture (though my toddler had a bad reaction to it). )br>br>The packaging is my only criticism. br>I wish they sold them in bars or in much larger containers; I'm not a big fan of using so much plastic. Also, getting just a drop or two from the bottle is difficult. The squirt system is great, but it squirts a lot of water all at once. A lot for a baby, to be sure.
My expectations were high- I like the original Cetaphil, which is designed for adults. and decided to purchase it in order to give it a try with our baby. According to the label, the product is free of parabens and contains organic ingredients. So what's stopping you? SLS-free is the second ingredient. Carcinogen with a proven track record! It also has a hamster cage hay scent to it! This was a mistake on my part.
