I had hoped for a lovely Beige sand-colored car seat to go with the pad I had purchased and the interior of my car. Instead, I got a shabby grey seat that doesn't match anything and doesn't even come close to resembling what I paid $150 for; the logo is also an ironic ironic ironic ironic ironic ironic ironic ironic ironic ironic ironic ironic ironic ironic ironic ironic ironic ironical iron instead of the embroidered version shown in the stock photo I know it comes across as petty, but I went out of my way to find the right color seat, and it wasn't cheap. There was no packing slip, which makes me even more suspicious that this is a low-cost knock-off. a ruse Is my Grandson going to be able to ride in it safely? This car seat lived up to the high expectations set forth in the reviews. The most important aspect is that it keeps the child cool. My child's back was not hot or sweaty when I took her out of the seat after a 45-minute drive. This is especially important for us because we live in Houston, where the heat is unbearable. It's not difficult to set up. The harness and belt strap are both easily adjustable for a custom fit. Finally, she must be at ease because she fell asleep almost instantly. There are several tilt positions available for infants and toddlers.
I like that I can remove the car seat cover to wash it and then replace it without having to remove the car seat.
This is fantastic because it provides a comfortable resting place for my child who ALWAYS falls asleep in the car. After using an older model for my son, I decided to order this one. I was in need of a new one, so I purchased this one. The only thing I miss about the old one is that it had a pillow air cushion near the head that was really nice, which this one doesn't have, but it's so much better than other brands that are so HARD. There are also two removable cup holders, making cleanup a breeze. My 3-year-old daughter, on the other hand, removes them all the time (perhaps because they are too easy to remove), and the seat has more padding than the others. In my car, it's also quite lovely! Installing it was a breeze. Because it has a tilt, I can adjust it so that her head sits back more when she falls asleep rather than falling forward.
It's far too bulky and large! Despite the fact that I washed the cushions in dreft, the baby's face broke out. The baby began to perspire even more. It's a nice car seat, but it's not the right fit for my child. Despite the fact that he is 7 months old and weighs 16 pounds, the carseat appeared to be too narrow, even after removing the newborn cushion. I also have the newborn version of this car seat, which I prefer, but it still does not keep him cool. This is a brand I don't care for.
In general, this is a good car seat. We also have a Britax car seat. This is the one that our son prefers. It appears to be quite cozy. The seat belt is in good working order and has side clips to keep it in place. It is easy to loosen and tighten. Two drawbacks keep it from being a perfect five-star rating.
1- The cup holders are a nice feature, but they raise the sides, making it a little more difficult to get him in. That's helpful because he's starting to climb in himself.
2- When compared to the Britax, the installation is difficult to get tight, and the seat has some play. The Britax has a click n lock feature that makes installation quick and secure. It does not move in any way. However, the Britax was significantly more expensive, and the color of this Safety 1st seat is one of our favorites.
This is an incredible seat. My 7-month-old daughter detested car rides and screamed at the top of her lungs. She was happy and fell asleep on her own the first time she used it! I couldn't believe it when she said she was happy the entire time, even when she was wearing a soiled diaper. I wish I'd thought of getting it sooner.
Because of a car accident, I had to get a new carseat for my baby when he was four months old. Now I can confidently state that this machine is massive and extremely durable. There's no way my baby is leaving! For your baby's first car seat, I highly recommend this! The only issue I have is that the position in which I have my baby causes one of the cup holders to fall out. However, everything is in order.
