Questions & Answers
I realize your question is old, but I felt compelled to correct Sara Hall's incorrect information for the benefit of anyone else who might be curious. The manual and a sticker on the seat both state that this car seat is FAA approved.
Your Toyota Camry would be able to accommodate it. It's in my wife's Mazda Protege, which, I believe, has less space. However, keep in mind that this is a large car seat!

My daughter's life was saved because of this product!! We were involved in a three-time rollover accident in which the truck flipped three times. Despite my broken collarbone and her father's cuts all over his face, my daughter has not received a single cut, scrape, bump, or bruise. I HIGHLY recommend this product; yes, it is a little larger than some, but my daughter would not be here today if it hadn't been for this seat.
When my son was born, I bought him an infant car seat, but he didn't like it. He, on the other hand, adores the seat. When it's facing backwards, you'll want to make sure the bottom is set up for reclining. In a small car, it's a bit bulky, but it's well worth it for the safety of your child.
He was going 45 mph and didn't have enough time to brake. Our car did a 180 after the airbags went off. The other vehicle was driven into a light pole after crossing two lanes of traffic. Both automobiles were written off. My daughter's seat tilted way over as the seatbelt stretched, but it held, and the only marks she received from the harness were on her legs. She was fine, and she appreciated the seat.
My daughter and I- I had it sent to my in-laws in North Carolina, and they were overjoyed. It changes as he changes. It has every safety feature and outperforms the Fed in every way. as well as state inspections I'm in a great mood! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK *** And now for the PROOF. Two weeks after receiving this car seat, my daughter-in-law was in a terrible car accident. Yes, my grandson was in this car seat in the back. The State Trooper who assisted her that afternoon stated that if it hadn't been for this car seat, her son, my 18-month-old grandson, would not have had such a good outcome. The car was totaled and he 100% was 100% unharmed. My daughter-in-law was admitted for concussion observation and released the following day. Thank you, Amazon, for supporting this fantastic product, and thank you, Graco, for continuing to do such a fantastic job of safeguarding our most valuable possessions. br>From the bottom of my heart, Marietta L. We needed a convertible car seat so that he could ride in the back seat until he was at least two years old. I did some research on Amazon and discovered that this one was the best value for money under $100 (our budget). What I adore: br>br>
- holders for your cups! Nothing makes me happier than knowing that my toddler can drink whenever he wants.
- The cute design is suitable for both men and women. br>- My toddler enjoys his seat because it is comfortable and allows him to see out the window. I'm content if he's content. br>br>Things I don't particularly care for:br>- It occupies a significant amount of space! Before this one, we were using a small infant carrier car seat, and it was a big difference. My husband needs to recline his seat further than the car seat allows, so we had to move it behind the passenger seat. (We have a Ford Fusion from 2010. ) )
- It's difficult to tighten the straps! I have to pull on the strap for a long time to get it tight enough to be safe. (If anyone has any suggestions for how to fix this, I'd be grateful. ) The button for loosening the straps is also difficult to find.
I bought this for my 2011 Hyundai Sonata because we already have a maxi cosi pria 70 in the Jeep and I didn't want to spend another $275 on a car seat that wouldn't get as much use. I was worried it wouldn't fit because other reviewers mentioned how big it is, but I decided to go ahead and buy it because of a flash sale at the time; it is definitely large, but I had no trouble fitting it behind my drivers seat. It's quite large, and my daughter appears to be happy there! The model number was not included in the Graco recall, and the box stated that it was only made this summer. I like the color, and it was simple to put together. It doesn't move much once it's installed properly, but because my back seats are extremely angled, I had to fold a towel for the seat. I included a photo of my drivers seat pushed back as far as it would need to be for my husband to drive; he's about 5'9" tall, and you can see there's still room between the car seat and the back of the drivers seat. It's approved for aircraft use, according to the manual, and there's even a sticker on it. That was another reason I got it: it's not too heavy and could be useful for flying, but it's also quite wide, so we'll have to cross that bridge when we get there! This purchase has surpassed my expectations.
My older daughter owns the "Older" version of the same seat that I bought in 2013. But I bought this one because we adored almost everything about it- Security, safety, ease of installation, and so on. br>Problems we've encountered: br>With the exception of the replacement buckle, it's been fantastic! There are no actual performance issues, but there are some design differences between this and the models my friends own, such asbr>- To adjust the height of the straps, you'll need to get out of the car. br>- This version has a more concealed strap release button, which makes it less efficient but still usable. br>- In comparison to the older version, I believe the padded insert is poorly constructed. br>- The lower back and the little head pad are two different things. I'm still undecided about whether or not that's awesome.
- The cover still doesn't fit over the seat properly after probably a half-dozen washes over the last few years. It never quite fit in the first place, but I felt compelled to say something. br>Aspects that I found appealing:
- The instructions on how to properly install the seat are fairly straightforward on the labels. br>- a description of how to use LATCH properlybr>- Seat-compensating feet are available on the base to accommodate a wider range of vehicle seat options.
- TWO CUP HOLDERS (I had no idea this would be such a big deal to me, but it is). )
- It's relatively simple to remove the cover for washing.
- Finally, when it comes to the price, it's PERFECT for those on a budget.
A+++.
