Because this isn't a removable infant car seat, it doesn't come with a base. You put everything in the car and forget about it. I believe it can be used in a rear-facing position with an infant, but it is not the type of carrier that you take out. I hope this information is useful.
The carseat is much more cushioned than others in my opinion. In this carseat, I would feel safe taking a long trip with my child.
Yes, you can remove the entire seat cover to clean it.

I rarely write reviews, but this car seat saved my son's life in a serious car accident. He wasn't hurt at all. We were at a complete stop when someone plowed into the back of us at a speed of at least 50 miles per hour. My trunk was almost entirely hidden behind the back seat. He was a very fortunate young man, and I am one grateful mother. To get home from the hospital, we needed to buy a new car seat. The one we got was identical. Thank you.
As long as your child does not spill anything or becomes ill. This seat has been in my possession for about 5 months. It takes up more space. It's a little heavier than the one my other child uses, but it comes with its own set of advantages. My son appears to be comfortable in the seat, and the straps can be adjusted. down without difficulty, It is simple to set up and take down. br>br>However, I recently discovered that the straps cannot be completely removed for cleaning. After my son had sat in the seat for a while, I removed the padding. I did my best to clean everything up as much as possible. However, cleaning all of the crevasses is impossible without being able to get underneath the plastic. Now there's vomit in places I can't get to with a toothbrush. I'm not sure how it'll smell in the future.
To be honest, the pads in the seat area are the ONLY thing I like about this car seat. The rest of it was a disaster- This isn't good. Whoever created this either A) despises mothers or B) has never had or seen a baby. The setup is a complete disaster. The latch system is in the wrong hole when you get the car seat, so you'll have to feed the strap through to the correct one. Additionally, the latch straps connecting both latches were too short. Due to the incline of the seats, my baby's head is still in her lap even when the car seat is fully reclined. What is the solution? Between the seat and the car seat, put a freaking towel. I'd be interested in seeing the safety reviews for that one! The system for tightening the belt strap with a crank is ridiculous. Not only is it time consuming, but once the car seat is in place, there is no room to turn the crank with your hand. I'm sure I can come up with a list of other issues with this car seat, but to be honest, I can't. There isn't enough time in the day to get everything done. Spend the extra $50 on a car that's actually worth something.
If you're going to use it for rear-facing, make sure the back seats are fairly flat. In a 2012 traverse or a 2003 murano, the adjustable seat does not have enough adjustment to make the seat level, and it is also difficult to route the belt through the seat. Don't get me wrong, it appears to be a good car seat, but the rear-facing adjustment is limited.
I've bought two Evenflo seats now. My first one was fantastic, but we only started using it when my eldest was ready to move forward. I never used it in a backwards position. I didn't like installing either of them in the back of our vehicles - I made a lot of curse words. We have a newer SUV and sedan, and connecting the strap to the car was extremely difficult due to a lack of slack. It does take up a lot of space, and the front seat in both vehicles has to be raised even higher, but that seems to be the case with most car seats. I may be failing as a parent if I don't redo the straps every time, but the tightening mechanism was a pain to use at first because it was scrunched in the seat (as was the case with the other seat). I believe that many of the issues with this seat will be alleviated once it is turned forward, but I still have some time. I still give it a high rating because it appears to be a safe seat, and my aches and pains pale in comparison to my baby's safety. And my complaints stem from rear-facing, but they should subside once I'm forward-facing.
It broke apart and exposed that this is made of styrofoam, among the numerous issues I've had with it during the 10 months I had it (not tightening properly, bulky, padding fell apart, does not properly recline, shakes). I would not recommend this product because it is very flimsy. Despite the fact that the item had been purchased for more than 30 days, the manufacturer and company refused to offer me an exchange, refund, or return. br>br>Do yourself a favor and buy your car seats from a local store (Walmart, Target, Baby Store, etc. ). At the very least, the manufacturers will assist you if you have any problems with your car seats. I purchased my second stage on Amazon for the sake of convenience, but I paid a high price because I didn't buy it in a store.
This is so adorable and comfortable for our baby! In my small car, it's a bit bulky, but not too bad. My only gripe is how small the opening for the seatbelts is! I have small hands, so feeding it through to the other side is a challenge; however, I've discovered that you can feed it through halfway, then grab it in the middle and finish through the other side; otherwise, we love it!.
This car seat bothers me because it is so light and poorly made. It's also a pain to set up. The seat belt has to be fed under the seat cover, which is difficult because there is no easy way to help it through to the other side, and the anchor belts were too complicated to begin with. It is, however, simple to operate with a crank once it is installed. It has a better tightening system than an infant car seat, and it is more comfortable.
