It's a bit disappointing, because I purchased it for that reason.

When a mirror is attached to a spear, how does it accomplish that?

A headrest needs to be wrapped around the straps attached to the mirror's top and bottom, then wrapped around the ends, snapped together, and pulled to tighten up. You can use the long straps of this mirror to curve around any adjustable headrest just make sure that you select one with a padded surface!

The head rest shouldn't really be adjustable

It doesn't really fit on the head rest Head rests that can be adjusted. My phone is flipped around and I guess it is cool, but it is sideways and in portrait mode rather than landscape mode.
