It is for anyone who wants a seat belt to come across the neck based on their height because of a seat belt. A booster seat comes with her seat when she is 4 years old. A pad that puts the seat belt on the shoulder instead of across the neck works just fine for me since I am shorter than most. I use one to drive a car because I am short. This won't work with a child in a regular car seat because you use the straps on the seat, not the seat belt. I think the rule (at least where I live) for boosters is that they must be 4 years old, 40 inches tall and weigh 40 pounds. Therefore, I would say this pad is good for 4 years or more.
There is no legal use of this substance in a proper use state. The seat will probably not be able to be used in place of a booster, since it technically does not qualify. Rider safe harness is a booster harness and is registered with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission. I believe this item in particular is not safe, especially for kids. Instead of using a belt, if the belt does not fit the child properly, a belt positioning booster, such as a high back booster, should be used.
A booster seat that is crash tested is done so by the company and does not have to pass federal safety standards. It won't replace a booster seat that has been approved by the government. These belts place the lap portion of the belt over the stomach which places the user's internal organs at risk of damage or can cause the user to slide out of the seat in the event of an accident. You do not want to do that!

I agree. Buy this if your neck bleeds from your seat belt and it should last a long time. Travel always made me want to pull on my seatbelt and I used to turn my nose up at long trips. There was nothing I could do to keep the seat belt on my seat and over my shoulder even after trying many things. In order to use it in other cars, I will buy another one to have with me when I travel by plane to another city.
The seats in the back of our large van made it difficult to find something that was still suitable for kids who are nearing the end of their boosters. Last time he did it, I almost had to cut the belt off to free him. Having to replace the perfect but barely used seat with one of a different design that would prevent him from doing this was not something I wanted to deal with, but obviously the seat would not be used if he wouldn't wear his seatbelt properly.
I wouldn't buy again, but I would buy again if the price were right. Others have noted that it makes a crackling noise. It is however annoying to me since I am an adult driver and do not move around enough while driving to cause it to be annoying to me. While it is putting on and off it IS extremely obnoxious. As I mentioned earlier, I have to work to position it in the right position each time. I recommend it and I feel that it is good, but it could be a bit larger so that I don't have to fiddle as much each time I put my sealbelt on. I do not know how long this thing.
The booster seat we got for our 6 year old son is great for travel. Keeping the seatbelt away from his face and positioned where it should be is an excellent method of keeping the seatbelt away from his face. Obviously, there are cheaper ones that look exactly the same, but I'm glad I got this one because it states on the packaging that this product was crash tested. No matter how small the price tag may be, I am not willing to sacrifice my child's safety. There is only one reason I do not love this thing, and that is because my son now has to click his seatbelt by himself because I have this seat belt adjuster. Putting the seat belt back in requires pulling it out after each use and placing it in the seatbelt adjuster, which I have to assist with, so I will keep my eyes open for any This is better than nothing, however.
I have owned, owned or have owned many convertibles like myself (Many), and I have had the same problem with all of them, With a belt It is impossible to clip a seatbelt between the shoulder and the neck in the 2 front seats unless it is below the shoulder, close to the shoulder joint. I do love this product in spite of the fact that it's designed for kids. I'm 5'2", so I really need something to prevent me from choking on that seatbelt. Normally, I buy the weird plastic clips at the auto parts stores, but those are awful! I dislike the way other, cheaper seat belts slide off, break, and fall off when I remove my seat belt. This Brica fits very well, and does the job. second benefit is that the long parts of the seat belt, which used to get tangled, no longer do. Despite having two similar products on Amazon, I picked this one since it sounds better and I am glad I did.
