We have found the pinnacle combo booster to be an excellent addition to our Britax Pinnacle Combo. Our daughter became more safe once she had reached the required height and weight to use a seat belt once she was in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Britax is a company I love and always have my eye on the future. The accessory clip positions the lap belt over the thighs as it should when used with the lap belt. Also, you get an additional anchor point you don't get with other boosters that don't have a As soon as you transfer from the five-point harness to the lap belt, this is a must-have accessory.
gave it 5 stars because it worked as it should, however the britax pinnacle booster belt makes for a horrible fit whether or not this clip is used. When I took my five year old to have his seat belt checked, I noticed the belt did not fit well in booster mode in his Britax pinnacle, and the car seat technician agreed, he had a dangerous belt fit, which is disappointing since the seat was not inexpensive. It ended up that we had to buy a graco turbo booster, and now he fits perfectly with the booster.
Because I had them in 5 point for so long, I didn't want to transition because it seemed so dangerous. I have never felt more confident about the transition than I do now with this device! We've got nothing to worry about when it comes to diving! It feels like they are just as protected as before.
I had such a hard time installing it! Once it is installed, my son, who is 9 years old, could not get the belt in on his own. It was extremely uncomfortable for him when I helped It hits him right in the manhood. His feelings about it were hurt and I honestly believe that in an accident, if you know what I mean, it would cause more damage than good. After that, I had to take it out of the ductwork, which was another nightmare to do.
During her toddler years, I purchased the top of the line Britax car seat for her. Since she can now use the seatbelt in her Britax car seat while she is in it, I bought this strap so she will be extra safe in.
As a parent, I find this to be a great product for transitioning from a five-point harness to a seat belt. It gives me peace of mind and is great for my children. As a bonus I think my kid thinks it is so cool that he has it because most other seats don't have it.
Using these booster seats, we are able to position the seat belt correctly, and my son is able to buckle himself in and click the belt into place.
