To get the new chest bracket to work, you'll have to disassemble the car seat. My grandson enjoyed squeezing his carseat's chest strap down. I didn't use the chest bracket that came with them to put these on. Then I realized that you have to use it because the red clips are so bulky that they don't fit properly on the chest, and it's too much of a hassle to uninstall and reassemble the car seat. It would be a lot easier to fit them with the original chest bracket if they were a little smaller.
These arrived in the mail in a reasonable amount of time. I put one in my son's car seat, and when I say "one," I mean the only one that would fit. I shut the door and walked around the car to get into the passenger seat, but by the time I got in, my two-and-a-half-year-old son had already figured out how to take it off and then break it. I'll chalk up the breaking part to the fact that I may have received a defective one (it happens), but if you have a toddler who is an escape artist/lock picker who manages to figure out child proof latches, baby gates, and the like like I do, these are unlikely to work for you.
I didn't get the entire order. This item was purchased to replace the chest clip on our Baby Trend infant car seat. The chest harness clip is about 5 inches wide in total, which is significantly larger than the original clip. To keep our 22-month-old daughter from wriggling out of the clip, we had to move it to around her shoulder level. br>br>In addition, we only received one chest harness clip each, despite the fact that this is supposed to be a set of two.
My toddler figured out how to unclip them and broke them less than a week after they were installed. They weren't child-proof or long-lasting, which was the main reason I bought them.
It also won't fit in child car seatbelts or adult car seat belts due to its design. The red clamps also slid up and down the belt(s) rather than locking into place.
Simple to operate and built to last! Perfect.
My two-year-old figured out how to get out of her car seat by sliding the car seat strap down. It's over now, thanks to these clips!.
