Hello! It's light tan in color and has black graphics on it.
I'm guessing things aren't going so well for you. Ours had three punctures in the mat when it arrived. I can't imagine it holding up well to dog toenails because four of the tiles are missing. It's a shame because it's a lovely piece.
The film on top along the thin outer edge pieces has lifted slightly after over a year of daily/heavy use. They were firmly stuck down again after a quick application of glue. It is difficult to remove. It also doesn't have any strange bubbling. We have the white one with the black x's and it's still in great shape. We've moved it around the house, reduced it in size and then restored it to its original size several times, and my son spent a few months daily pulling off the slim edges. and it's still looking fantastic! We've gotten a lot of positive feedback on it:
They can also be configured into almost any shape you want. I arranged my two packs in an asymmetrical pattern around the furniture!

(as opposed to the less expensive ones at Target and other stores)br>br>Prosbr>- Rather than a slew of small squares, there are six decently sized ones.
- I really like the clean, modern look of white and black. br>- In comparison to the rest of the bright toys we have, the design makes the play area look cleaner. br>- Without large gaps or lifted ridges, the edges fit snugly. br>- Do not be afraid of the white; it is extremely easy to clean. br>- Things don't get stuck in small nooks because the top has a smoother texture. br>- Even though it's white, a few spills we've had have left no stains, and it looks as good as new after a quick wipe.
- surface with a hint of lustrebr>- I'll be able to buy more and expand the mat.
- It includes a convenient carry case with handles for easy transportation. br>- br>br>Consbr>- There was no odor when it arrived. br>br> The mats are almost as soft as the less expensive mats. I had hoped for something a lot gentler. Despite the fact that he has fallen a few times, it has significantly softened his fall compared to our normal floors.
- When my 9-month-old stands up in his footless pjs with no foot grips, the surface is a little slick. They don't do so much on our regular floor, though.
- Because the surface is glossier, his larger plastic toys slide around on it, making it difficult for him to balance on them when he pulls himself up.
- In comparison to other mats, they are quite pricey. br>br> So far, we've had a lot of fun with the mat, and we plan to buy another one in the future to cover more of his play area. Because of the modern/non-busy pattern, it has made his play area in our open concept house appear much cleaner. Despite the disadvantages listed above, it's still a much nicer mat than the cheaper mats I've seen in stores. They're just a little too hard for me. br>br>UPDATEbr> It's still going strong after several months of daily/heavy use. My son now enjoys pulling the edges apart. I just put them back on and they've kept their shape for the most part, with some minor lifting of the white in a few spots. I'm still considering ordering another set because they're still so easy to clean.
This mat is available for purchase. I've looked at a lot of foam mats, and this one is by far the best if you want a Scandi/minimalist look. I bought three and connected them to make a "rug" in the living room where my kids play (allergies prevent us from having carpet). br>br>At first, we had a peeling issue, but the owner of Yay Mats was able to resolve the issue at the manufacturing level. All of my peeling mats were able to be replaced with new non-peeling mats. mats that peel If your Brooklyn cross mat has a matte (rather than a shiny) finish, you can be sure it won't peel. I loved the shiny ones and was heartbroken when they began to peel, but I adore the matte ones even more, and I am extremely happy with the customer service I received. I'm in a great mood! br>br>In this space, my four and one-year-olds play all day, and my husband and I are frequently on the floor with them, and we all enjoy it! It's perfect because it's fashionable, comfortable, safe, and low-maintenance.
EDIT: After writing this review, I contacted the company to see if I could get a replacement, which I was able to do! Thank you, Alice, for being so patient and accommodating. I took before and after photos of the old printed foam vs. the new printed foam (my kids used it as a canvas after the print peeled). The original mats I'd ordered appeared to have been shrink wrapped with the print. These new ones have a distinct design that is obvious. They don't have a sticky sound to them, and they're softer, so I'm optimistic! Simply because of the customer service, these mats are well worth your money. ORIGINAL REVIEW: BR>BR>ORIGINAL REVIEW: BR>BR>ORIGINAL REVIEW: BR>ORIGINAL REVIEW It served its purpose, but after six months, almost all of the outside edges have peeled away, and the print is missing from the majority of the squares. It was a significant investment. I'm extremely dissatisfied and irritated. Make a financial plan.
People can't believe it's a baby mat because I get so many compliments on it. I can't, however, consciously recommend it to anyone. The print is a sticker on foam that began peeling after a short time. I was able to conceal it at first, but now it appears on almost every piece! It's a shame because it looks great and has been great with my son, but I can't risk him picking it up and putting it in his mouth now! Oh, and we don't walk on it in our shoes.
Easy to clean and just the right thickness to keep your baby safe on hardwood floors. One of the panel edges on the first mat began to peel within a week. Their customer service department, on the other hand, contacted me and sent me a replacement mat. It's been incredible. It's been almost a year since we bought it, and it's still going strong. Peeling is not an option. Thank you very much!.
Out of all the play mats I've seen, Yay Mats has some of my favorite patterns, and the mudcloth pattern is especially adorable. This mat had a lot of potential for me. This mat is stunning from an aesthetic standpoint! The pattern appears to be exactly what I expected. The mat is soft and smooth, making it a comfortable surface for my 6-month-old to play on. The mat was definitely smaller than I had anticipated for being labeled as "extra large," but that was my fault for failing to read the exact dimensions. The mat was a lot thinner than I expected it to be, and I was hoping for something more substantial for the price; it's also extremely light, which one might argue makes it easier to move around, but it slides around on my floor a little too easily, and I find myself constantly repositioning it. The edges don't lay flat against each other, and they almost curl upwards slightly, which is my biggest complaint about the quality. I've only had the mat for about a week, and this has only recently begun to occur. I'm guessing it has something to do with the humidity that has accompanied our rainy spring days in NJ? We've had the windows open in our house, and that's the only explanation I can think of for why the mat's individual squares are curling up at the edges. In any case, This should not be happening at the price of this mat.
