I liked this mat at first, but after a month or two, the shapes began to bubble up, which was annoying, but I was willing to put up with it for the sake of aesthetics. One of the shapes broke today, and my baby was COVERED IN DYE from the inside! What do you mean by that? It's impossible to say what it's made of. How do you create a product that accomplishes this? I'm not sure this mat is safe for my baby to play on. Extremely dissatisfying, especially for a product that costs nearly $60.
It appeals to me. I was hesitant to buy it because of the positive reviews, but I'm glad I did. It's on a hard wood floor that I use it on. My son will be safe because it is thick. He tripped and hit his head, but he was unharmed (and did not cry). The only issue is that he won't stay on it for long periods of time because he's curious and wants to explore, but that has nothing to do with the product's quality. I also like how easy it is to clean because he has explosive poops and spits up on occasion. In a carpeted room, it will shield the carpet.
I wish I had discovered this baby mat years ago. My daughter is almost two years old, and the mat will be ideal for her to use at Grandma's house. She goes there a few times a week, and Grandma likes that it is foldable so it can be stored when not in use, and that she can adjust the playmat according to the toys they have out. The material is good, the prints are cute, and I cleaned it with disinfectant wipes a few times. It was easy to clean, and no colors were wiped away. This mat is great for tummy time, crawlers, and, of course, toddlers, and I love how it folds up.
Pros:
- The mat is packaged in a zip-top bag. br>- The mat collapses into a small package and is simple to fold and unfoldbr>- The size and quality are exactly what you would expectbr>- Cons: The material is similar to plastic and is extremely easy to clean. br>br>
- The only criticism I have is that the material behaves similarly to a rubber balloon in that it generates a lot of static. This isn't a major issue, but it will attract hair from the floor. br>br>Conclusion: br>br> This is an excellent mat with no flaws. Perhaps a little pricey for what it is, but I'm not complaining.
Since we bought it for our child two months ago, we have used it EVERY DAY. It's easy to clean because she crawls on it, spits up on it, and drools on it. It folds up and stores away very easily at the end of the day. We've taken this mat (along with its carrying case) on vacation and used it on the grass and at the beach. It's a must-have item that I'm passing along to all of my new-found friends. friends who are mothers It is light in weight and has proven to be durable. If you own a dog, use caution. Although we do not have a dog, our friends' dog walked across the mat and punctured a few holes while they were on vacation. They aren't a big deal, but if we were constantly around a large dog, it would be an issue.
It arrived folded (other reviews claimed it arrived rolled in a tube) and the fold joints are well designed and durable, though they do tend to harbor crumbs and other debris and require frequent vacuuming. Cleans up easily with a damp cloth. Thankfully, my daughter does not chew on this, but I'm not sure it would hold up if she did. When my 55-pound husky stretches on it, his claws scratch the surface, but it's still very usable. It might or might not last for several children. It did help my daughter learn to crawl, but it's a little less gummy/grippy than the click-together mats (which my daughter quickly disassembles and chews on, so the single mat design is preferable for us).
This mat has been a lifesaver for my energetic little boy who is still learning to balance. It's simple to fold and unfold, provides cushioning for his falls, and looks nice; it's MUCH BETTER than those puzzle-style blankets. Piece-style mats, which my baby quickly learned to disassemble in order to chew on. br>br>It's simple to clean, but there's a small smudge of baby food (damn carrots!). ) only made a brief contact with the mat, leaving a mark. Except for me, who knows where to look, it's unnoticeable.
Because I already have a thicker and larger playmat in the family room, I decided to purchase the folding type. This one isn't particularly thick, but it's extremely portable and simple to pack and transport. In order to save space, the playmat can be folded into two layers and thickened. The surface is waterproof, and cleaning it is as simple as wiping it down.
