One of the best baby and living room purchases I've ever made. I've had it for a few months and am SO GLAD I ditched the area rug in favor of it. In the living room, a rug is absolutely essential. It's something we use on a daily basis! This is much more comfortable and hygienic to sit on. I scrubbed it down with a soapy mop and hosed it down today. After food and other gross things have landed on this mat, it's as good as new. My only wish was that it came in a larger size; I would have purchased it immediately. I scoured Amazon and the internet for something that would go well with our stuff and came up with this really nice pattern.

It's fantastic and a must-have for parents with young children. We had one that was made up of puzzle pieces that kept falling apart and became quite nasty. This is also a lovely cushion. It's great because I can keep his standing table on it and it won't move when he leans on it. It's ideal for crawling, turning over, standing, and walking toddlers. My little one has fallen several times while attempting to stand and would have been severely injured if he hadn't been on the mat. We always keep ours out, despite the fact that rolling them up and storing them is inconvenient. PET OWNERS: Our pit bull tore up the tile mat with her nails, leaving holes all over it. We tried to keep her away from this one, but her nails did not penetrate it.

Chemical odor and flavor, with a strong plastic/chemical odor. It has a chemical taste to it and numbs your mouth. I immediately sent it back.

We've had this mat for about a month and have wiped it down with everything we can think of. The chemical odor is still present. br>br>Even opening the windows doesn't help because the odor is so strong. This appears to be extremely hazardous for a baby product.

After receiving a replacement mat from the seller, I've updated my review: They were extremely gracious in reaching out and attempting to improve my situation. We got a new mat a few weeks ago, and it was a different design than the one we had before. There was a slight odor when we first opened it, but it dissipated after a few days of wiping and airing out. It could have been a one-off batch that I received because the smell didn't last as long as it did with my old mat. For this price range, the cushioning and durability are excellent, and I am pleased. br>br>I was in desperate need of a good play mat for our six-month-old, so I ordered the Baby Care Play Mat after seeing that it was "non-toxic. " "toxic," as well as a slew of positive feedback. However, I should have read all of the reviews before clicking the buy button. I noticed a strong chemical odor when I first opened the mat; I wiped it down with a little water and let it air out for a few days, but the odor was still there. br>I became concerned and began reading the reviews, where I was surprised to discover that few people had mentioned the odor: br>After almost a month of daily wiping, the odor is still as strong as ever, giving me a headache.

This item has left me feeling very let down. It had such high ratings, and I had been debating whether or not I wanted to spend so much money on a good baby mat for a couple of months. My baby, on the other hand, is starting to crawl, and I wanted to provide a safe environment for him to move around in, one free of toxic chemicals that could harm him. I finally made the decision to buy, and it turned out to be a huge letdown. We were so ecstatic when it arrived that we opened it right away and unrolled it so it would lay flat on the ground. We tried to be patient with this process, but it was still curled around the edges after almost a week (see photo). When I took the photo, I had it on the other side to flatten it, but I flipped it over to show the curl). It hasn't even flattened out yet. Another significant problem is that it has a strong chemical odor. We wiped it down with water and let it air out in a well-ventilated area because I expected this to happen right out of the box. space that is well-ventilated The odor is still present after ten days. When I picked up my baby after putting him on it for a few minutes to play, he smelled like the mat! Whether or not this mat is advertised as "nontoxic," having my baby smell like it after only a few minutes is a major issue. Yes, the animals are adorable, and I like how the reverse side resembles a more refined rug, but none of that matters when such an expensive mat is dangerous to my child. I contacted the seller in the hopes of resolving the problem, but despite their best efforts, their best advice was to return the mat to Amazon because "I must have received a returned item from their warehouse. " This mat is substantial in weight, and the box in which it is packaged is substantial in size. I'm not sure I'll be able to fit it in my car, and with a husband who works 80 hours a week as an essential worker during these times, I won't be able to easily transport this mat to UPS and return it. There is a fee for having it picked up by them as well. I believe I made a mistake when ordering this mat, and I'm disappointed that my problem has not been resolved.

Pictures of strange animals This play mat was one of my favorites, but it isn't stain resistant. It had some liquid food on it, which had seeped into the mat. The outline remains even after several cleanings. br>br>I could live with the fact that the animals aren't exactly how you'd expect them to be, but not with their lack of durability. I shared a photo of their koala, which resembles a brown bear in appearance. The panda, too, has an odd appearance.
