Questions & Answers

Isn't it better to have a small back back? Keep your wheel locks hidden at all times. When they break in, do they always check your glove compartment for wheel locks?

You've brought up an excellent point.

What is the maximum number of wheel locks it can hold?

This pouch is designed to hold the "Key" to the wheel locks, not the locks themselves. The wheel lock set includes four wheel locks (one for each wheel) as well as a wheel lock key. You could store a few wheel locks in the pouch and possibly fit all four in there, but the wheel lock key might not fit. To get the key in there, the material has to be stretched a little. I only keep the wheel lock key in the pouch in the glove box, where it's easy to find when getting the tires rotated.

Is it compatible with a 2018 GMC Sierra?

I don't think there's any reason why it shouldn't be done. It's just a pouch with a lug nut key in it. For a Hyundai Sonata, I bought it.

Is this going to work with the mcgard25257 key?

Yes, it's a nice little bag for keeping your wheel lock key in.

Disappointment in the quality of the product
3/5

In most cases, only one of these will be purchased.
- I bought two for myself and a significant other at the same time; if I had only bought one - as will the majority of people. I would not have noticed or questioned a quality comparison of the same product from the same seller if it hadn't been pointed out to me. br>br>First and foremost, I was impressed with the quality of the zipper. One of them had a nice matte thick and sturdy zipper. The second has a gleaming finish and a thin, flimsy zipper that feels cheap. I looked inside, thinking the cheap zipper was from an older model, and the tag stated the country and year of manufacture. So I was surprised to discover that the nice thick sturdy zipper was from an older model fabricated in 2016, while the flimsy thin and cheap zipper (that I can bend with my thumb and pointer as I write this) was from a newer model fabricated in 2017. and I'm a lady) was released in the year 2018. So it appears that in the newer models, they've switched to a less expensive zipper that won't last long. This is quite disappointing because "mostly" men handle this aspect of a car (granted, women do as well). As a result, this zipper is prone to breakage. So I might have a Wheel Lock Key bag with a broken zipper handle when I get my car back. (In the past, I've had this zipper on some items, and you're usually left trying to move around the base without the handle with your fingernails, which is extremely difficult. )br>br>Second: br>The side elastic loop is designated for a wheel key, as per the instructions (picture included). In which I stated to my significant other that it could be for a pen, in which he turned over the package and an instant picture/instruction for this mysterious small loop was provided. Then he tried to put his finger in it and said he doesn't think one will fit unless you really stretch out the loop that was provided because he can't even get his pinky into it. This confirms my initial assumption that it was for a pen - as a result of the width that has been provided So having it is a waste because the long-term quality prognosis and longetivity of this will be poor. br>br>Third:br>The newer 2018 product (with a less expensive zipper) is slightly larger. I'm not sure if this was done on purpose or if it was simply a sewing/fabrication mistake. (I just have a gut feeling it was a mistake -) Why add a few millimeters of fabric if you're going cheap all the way? does not and up) As a result, the 2016 older product, which has a very nice zipper, is slightly smaller. However, the older 2018 model did have a SILICA GEL (moisture absorbent) inside, whereas the newer 2018 model did not. Finally: br>br> br>I was not compensated in any way for writing this review - These were not given to me free of charge. I was simply dissatisfied with how this was handled overall. I always tell people to "go big or go home. " If you decide to make a product, there are a few things you should keep in mind. Take into account the product's quality and longevity. But, if I only bought one, I'd be happy. I wouldn't have noticed the lack of quality if they hadn't tried to keep fabricating it. br>br>Overall, a good concept - However, I'm disappointed because I have two people who are diametrically opposed. br>br>I'm returning it in the hopes of receiving an older product with a better zipper. In terms of the loop on the side, it's been added. It's a waste of time, and I'm not going to put any effort into squeezing the wheel lock key/handle into it, as the photo clearly shows.

It's adequate for the task at hand, but it could be so much more
3/5

I made the mistake of having my brakes serviced at a local corner shop. They were late with the work and kept it for several hours longer than promised, so I was in such a hurry when I got it back that I forgot to look for my previous lug key. After 5K miles, I go to get my tires rotated and discover that I don't have a key. br>br>So I bought this little pouch as a visual reminder to look for my key when it's in an auto shop. It's a small pouch with a zipper and a loop at the bottom. Here are my two issues with it: br>br> 1. br>br> They should have used velcro to attach the pouch to your seat or somewhere else where velcro can attach, allowing you to hide it in your vehicle. I know a few people who have had their expensive wheels stolen, and having the lock only encourages the bad guy to break your window and look in your glovebox for the key. He'd break your window and raid your glovebox if it was velcro-backed, but he'd leave your wheels alone. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The small loop is for securing it to your vehicle's dreadful emergency jack system. The issue is that it is not elastic, so you won't be able to loop it around a modern folding T bar wrench. br>br>I think the pouch is a must-have for me because I'll never lose it again, but it could be even better with some better engineering.

This is a fantastic pouch for your wheel lock key! The McGard Wheel Key Lock Storage Pouch is a must-have accessory for any lock set that includes a key lock and wheel locks
5/5

I used the word "any" because I don't use McGard's key lock or wheel locks. Although I use a different brand, I admire McGard's decision not to brand this pouch with their logo. I also like how "Wheel Lock Key" is clearly identified on the pouch. When I take my car in for service, I always forget to mention that I have wheel locks, and no mechanic has ever asked where the key is in this pouch. br>br>I'll admit it: I keep this pouch in the glove compartment of my car. I realize that the key lock inside the McGard Wheel Key Lock Storage Pouch might not be the best place for it. Others have asked for velcro or other options to keep this pouch secure in other difficult-to-find and/or-reach areas inside the vehicle. I haven't bothered to look for a place to store this pouch other than the glove compartment of my vehicle, so this isn't an issue for me. The vehicle is equipped with an alarm system that will notify others in the event of a vehicle break-in. Wheel theft is less likely when the pouch is kept in the vehicle's glove compartment. Furthermore, if the pouch is kept in a difficult-to-find and/or difficult-to-reach area of the vehicle, the thief(s) stealing the tires will be unaware. br>br>The McGard Wheel Key Lock Storage Pouch keeps the wheel lock key where it belongs.

Now is the time to buy one before it's too late! I bought one for my wife's truck, but the key had been misplaced by the time I got it
5/5

I wish I had purchased this sooner. (I actually sold the truck before I needed a new key. ) Replacement keys are expensive from the dealer, and they appear to be fairly specific to your vehicle, so I had to go through a strange ordering process if I needed one. ) A pound of cure is worth an ounce of prevention.
