Questions & Answers

the work on a 30 foot travel trailer be possible?

It would be nice to buy another Tymate, but I wouldn't. In addition to the four and six monitoring systems, we have the following. Since we got it, the four one has had a senior that doesn't work properly. I asked the company for help, but I didn't get a response. Since these sensors stopped working, none of them work anymore. When it stopped working after just 5 months, we had it. The company advertises a 24-hour help line. I wish you the best with it. I don't know where to find a phone number. These get a 0 rating from me.

In what way do you place air in tires when they have sensors on them?

You are welcome to contact me. It is important to remove the tire sensor every time the tire is inflated and to reinstall it after it has been inflated The inflation rate has reached its maximum. Travel trailers won't be disappointed with this product
5/5

This product is excellent for travel trailers. The number of cheap TPMS on Amazon is so overwhelming that it is impossible to judge which one is worth the purchase without reviews, and even those are inconsistent. I have now completed three of these. There had to be one that worked on the market, and I was determined to find one that worked. I believe this is the right My truck has factory TPMS, so I connected it to it. The first passing grade goes to the fact that there is The second was that it responded to increases and decreases accurately Please note that I verified the actual tire pressures using both an analog and a digital That's what I'm going to talk about next. In the third test, the distance was measured. A 25' travel trailer and a 3/4 ton truck with a 6 1/2' bed are part of my equipment. There is no problem with loosing signal with the dash monitor. Therefore, it is accurate and works in a range long enough for a camper to benefit from it. Some people will tell you that its not real-time and is only updated As true as can be. During a catastrophic blow out or a rapid loss of air, this will do little or nothing to help The factory system or anything else on the market will not do the job. It will only help you to feel at ease knowing that the tire pressures are good when you start out on your trip, and that if you pick up a nail and then get a slow leak, then you might be able to fix it in time. As long as you're likely to have a leak in the majority of flats, then it's worth it. It acts fast enough to get you alerted to a slow leak that you can react Another way of putting it is that you are unlikely to be able to respond to an event as fast as a leak. Blowing out is what it is. It will be possible for this unit to detect a slow leak well in advance, giving you enough time to avoid driving. In the future, I will not tow without one because it is what it is and at the price I paid for it.

The travel trailer is mounted with the device
5/5

The tire pressure gauges in my travel trailer are brand new. I was just trying to keep an eye on the pressure. After removing my tire covers and screwing them on, it took more time to setup the console to my preferences than it did to remove my tire covers. The entire process took 15 minutes from the point of unboxing to installation, and it worked exactly as I'd imagined it would. As for the durability or life of the product, I can't attest to those things, but my initial impressions have left me satisfied. When towing my camper, I feel a sense of comfort knowing I can check my tire pressure and possibly avoid major damage.

It is very useful to have a tire pressure gauge
5/5

This applies to the spare tire as well. Two of these units were bought for two of my vehicles about a year and a half ago While they were labeled with a different brand name (than Tymate). Since they work well and save you from manually monitoring the tire pressure every week or two, they have proven to be very useful. There's an updated version of the Tymate unit I already own. They fixed a firmware bug (not a critical one) and swapped out the backlit monochrome LCD display with a regular one. During the summer, the color display of older units would be impacted by the There were a few segments that would cease to function once it cooled down. Nonetheless, it's still possible to read it. As long as you have a regular LCD display, that is not One of the best features of these units is that you can buy a fifth sensor and attach it to the spare tire. The head unit will show the pressure of the spare tire as well as the four Displays change from one to the other. There is no mention of that when you purchase the Tymate unit, but I had a spare sensor from my first two units and it was compatible with the Tymate unit. During acceleration, the sensors on the main wheels turn on immediately and start transmitting pressure at 12 MPH. However, the sensors on the spare wheels take a bit longer to respond since there is no rotation. A spare tire sensor will give a reading from time to time so you can find out what pressure is in the tire. It may get a new reading once or twice every 10 miles or so depending on how far you drive. The spare tire sensor can be added by pressing the plus button until the register sensor mode appears You can then cycle through different wheel positions by pressing the plus or minus button until the spare tire icon appears on the head unit display Attach the spare sensor to the spare tire, and the ID number of the spare tire will appear on the display when the air pressure in the tire engages it. Once you've registered, press and hold the middle set button to complete the There is no mention of that instruction in Another point to note about these sensors is that they do not need to be locked in place with a locknut. Don't worry about a locknut just put 'em on and tighten them You won't have to worry about leaks or loosening. Locknuts are a pain to work with, and if you use them on a valve stem with a TPMS sensor built into the wheel, they will corrode and become Due to the dissimilar metal corrosion on those TPMS valve stems, the brass nut will corrode fast to those aluminum stems. You might strip the aluminum threads and destroy the TPMS sensor while you're trying to loosen the locknut. If you want to know how I know that, ask me. TPMS will only alert you when more than one tire has a pressure less than 25 PSI. My 2013 Prius comes with a TPMS that has been installed from the factory. You don't get to learn anything more than that, which is really not a lot. Having the ability to see exactly what is in every tire and even the spare tire, is much better. It is so accurate to say these things A driver can tell if he or she is traveling east or west just by looking at the TPMS display when driving on a sunny day. It is likely that the 2 tires in the sunlight will be a few degrees warmer than the 2 tires in the shade. There is only one downside (at least with my older 2 units) the solar panel doesn't provide enough power to keep the battery charged for an extended period of time. About once a month, I still have to plug in the USB to fully recharge the battery. It may not be needed for the Tymate.
