Questions & Answers

Does the system have the flexible capacity to handle 12 tires, 8 on the motorhome and 4 on the tow vehicle?

There are 12 tyres + spare on the tow vehicle & The trailers have 24 spare tires plus a spare

TPMs have been installed from the factory on my Toad. Is it possible that the factory sensors will still work after installing the TSST507 sensors?

It works great with the factory installed system on my Jeep Wrangler 2015 with TPMS that was already fitted, so I added this system to monitor the TPMS from the coach.

If I plug it in while driving, will it affect my ?

In short, yes. Despite the switch being off, the console works while plugged in for a few days on battery. If you prefer to keep it plugged in all the time, it will be fully functional no matter what type of power it has.

Can you tell me what the last item in the photo is?

The signal extender in the picture is used to extend the signal. I use it in order to extend the signal from the sensors on my towed vehicle to the sensors in my 36' motorhome. As I had fitted the antenna to one of the batteries in the battery compartment (coach and chassis batteries), I connected it to the battery and attached it to the tray. Using this system, I can get a good signal to the monitor positioned on the cockpit dash.

I was able to get it to work
3/5

Everything seemed to be going fine until it wasn't. As I travel this summer, I plan to keep an eye on my 38' 5th wheel's tires with this device. The installation is easy, if a bit tedious, but you can do it if you follow the instructions. The process of setting the alarms is an experience, but with a little trial and error, you can figure it out. The four trailer tires are the only ones I'm using them on. Although they work as soon as they are recognized, sometimes I had to drive a distance to get one or two to turn on when the system is turned on. Is there a particular one that would take 30 or more minutes to boot up or not boot into the system at all prior to restart and then work just fine? The results seem to match my two tire gauges reasonably well, but the temperatures are far off when you compare them to an infrared thermometer. Of course, the gun is reading the case, and the gauge is reading the air, so it may be that the differences arise because of this. As long as I hit the tires and hubs when I stop, it doesn't seem to matter. I also find it interesting to start in 60 degrees and then go to 17 degrees. There isn't a lot of time for them to learn what to start with. The only mis I have on them is around 3k, but all in all, it's a worthwhile addition to help us stay A new update has been published. It seemed like a good idea at the time. About 3k miles later, it still worked. After that, I turned the software off while I was working in the Dakotas for the summer. As soon as I got home to AZ, I turned it back on and it wouldn't come back on. The four sensors could be reprogrammed after I changed the 'two year' batteries. I followed the procedure as described in the book, hit the 'back' button twice, and waited for them to appear. There is nothing. Maybe the next day once I get rolling. There is nothing. On that night, I removed them and reprogrammed them a second time. As you probably guessed. We will no longer have the several hundred dollar paper weight to guide us on the 1800 mile trip. Those are funds I will never be able to touch You might be able to get them to work for you, others have, but I'd think twice before investing. A last update has been made. In spite of the fact that I thought it was a futile effort, I decided to try it again since I've got a couple thousand miles to travel before I start my summer job. As I picked up the transmitters to go through the step by step and then hit 'back' twice, which prompted the display to begin During that time, she In the evening, I checked it again and it still was not reading what day I had next, so I just put it into a box to be lost for the $300 odd it cost me.

The first few days have been great! My order was placed Tuesday night, I received the manual on Friday and installed it the following Saturday morning
5/5

I had 3 of the sensors program up right away, but one was slow. I reinstalled it and it worked perfectly. My first consideration was to call customer service and leave a voice mail after reading the manual and testing the sensor. As I wasn't expecting a call back until Monday, I was pleasantly surprised to hear from Jim at 15 seconds before the hour had passed. After explaining the situation to the technician, it took 3 minutes for the sensor to be incorporated into the display. It was explained to Jim that some sensors need to be in a "sweet spot" on the receiver to work properly. To place the sensor, he instructed me to place it below the lower left-hand corner of the sensor Not near the small protruding antenna on top of the receiver, but in the lower left-hand corner. As soon as the sensor was plugged in, it programmed! With the color display and everything you will need to charge and mount the receiver, this seems like a system that is well built and will be a great addition to your collection. I liked the packaging and found it easy to follow the instructions. I was surprised to find that the PSI specifications of the trailer manufacturer did not apply to the 4 tires on our 2 axle camp trailer. As soon as I checked the display, I inflated the tires to the correct pressure. There were no problems with the tires' temperatures or pressures. It is possible that I would have overlooked checking my tires before a trip without the system on my trailer, and that I would have gone on our trip with dangerously low tire.

It is not practical to use a color display in real life
3/5

Because I want to prevent someone else from purchasing it and finding out what I did, I am giving it just one star. We set it all up and it works and When it is sunny, if you install the monitor on your dashboard, you'll see that it nearly disappears. A pair of sunglasses will make it easier to say The problem is simply not visible to you. It's difficult to adjust the brightness and there is no contrast adjustment. It was ravingly positive reviews about how much they loved the color display on this device. There has never been any mention of how poorly it performs under real life driving conditions when mounted for visibility. It would have been better to go with the EEZTire, which looks like it has a monitor you can actually watch during the daytime.

This is an expensive product, but it does its job
4/5

Among the most reliable tests available, this may be the TST. In the end, I would give the product a rating of 5, but I am not willing to give it the full five stars. A couple of the less expensive items came with too many reported issues to be comfortable with, and one of the items I had purchased did not have the range needed to use it with a decent TST was a risk I couldn't pass up. I used it immediately out of the box and it worked great. It seems plausible that tire temperatures may be high. Most tire pressures were within a few deg of the values reported by other trusted sources, but one sensor appeared to be off by a few deg. In the same way, the tire pressure should also be checked. Not all sensors agree with a trusted calibrated pressure gauge, even when the two are within a PSI or two. In this price bracket, this is not a big deal, but at this point it can be annoying. It would be nice if they could be calibrated on the field. Despite this, I tested the operation with and without the range extender, but I did not test it without. The signals on a 35' trailer seem to hold well once acquired, though it may take a little time to pick them up. In my opinion, it would be much better if the display could be customized according to the tires that are being monitored rather than it being generic and very crowded. It may be possible to address this issue with some creative programming and perhaps by using There seems to be no problems with the display, and most lighting conditions allow it to be seen clearly. My preference would be for the caps to have a lower profile so that potential damage can be reduced further. Off-road conditions would likely be the only time that would be a major concern.

Despite its high cost, this is a great product
5/5

I watched instructions on how to set it up on YouTube. pulled a Jeep with my 45-foot coach for 2500 miles and the vehicle has been fine so far. The security provided by this system makes it more expensive than other systems I've researched, but I feel safer with it.
