When I ordered this product to fuse some broken plastic, I did not find it to be disappointing. This gun is quite simple to operate you load a metal staple piece into the gun's tip, hold the rock against the cracked plastic piece, then press the trigger so the rod heats up and fuses the staple to the plastic. After that, you cut off the end of the staple. Through trial and error, I learned that I must wait until the plastic cools before removing the staple gun. Otherwise, the wire staple will remain stuck to the plastic while it is not yet cooled. In addition to everything you need, it comes in a nice case.
