We do not know. It is a unit that enables you to weld a variety of plastics because it consists of many different pieces. I found the videos very helpful in understanding what can be My RV holding tank was damaged by an errant screw, so I used this to fix it. Exactly what I wanted!

I do not have the complete kit. There is an advertisement that indicates it comes with a DVD tutorial. There is even a statement on the back of the box the kit comes in, as well as it is a separate list of contents in the kit. However, without any warning, the seller has conveniently taken steps to obscure that information. As a result, you are purchasing a tool that is advertised as being instructions-free but does not include a single bit of information on how to actually use the tool. Very dissatisfied, and I'm almost tempted to send it back and tell them to pound sand in their ears.
The heat setting can easily be adjusted according to the filament. The flat tip is the only tip I use During repairs I repaired one 7" crack on the bumper and two seat covers that were completely broken in the front. We use stainless steel wire in our repair and a layer of white color ABS filament on top to make the repair very strong. It is easy to smooth and sand the repaired area before priming and painting the parts to match the originals. As I was sanding, FiberFlex material started peeling off. Photos can be seen here. This ABS filament looks just like the filament that comes on a 3D printer Next time, I'd like to try using nylon material from my FDM 3D printer.
As for the tool itself, it works well. It is nice to be able to adjust the temperature as well as have various plastic rods to choose from. This item is made in China, which disappoints me. It was just a matter of time before I bought this unit instead of the Chinese plastic welder. No matter what the price, it's really more valuable to me to buy products made in the U. S. This was something I was willing to pay extra for, and I did so. It came with a sticker that stated it was made in China, however, when it arrived. A lot of items are stored in the storage box, and the storage box can be difficult to use. When you open it back up, the parts are still strewn all over the place, so even though it was neatly stored, they shifted again when you opened it. There's also room for improvement when it comes to the cord management in the box. Upon reanalyzing, I found the welder to be excellent, and I have used it extensively in The product is made in China, however. China is a good investment if you want to buy Although the device is built to adjust the temperature, it is not clear how much of an improvement it is over the fixed-heat model A Harbor Freight equivalent that costs only one tenth the price is $16.
Upon following their instructions, you will be amazed by how much plastic junk you can repair (and help keep out of the junkyard)(helping you save money, too). They told me how to weld or repair my ATV's creeping crack, so I did. I painted the crack up after sanding and sanding it down. You can hardly tell there was a crack there. A tool like this Welding Kit truly makes a difference The following should be on your repair list if you need to perform any repairs. The fact is that more and more things are being manufactured using so many different types of plastics that having this kit will end up paying for itself over and over again. The hint is The proper preparation of the materials, as well as choosing a suitable welding rod, is key to a great weld I don't care if it is metal or plastic. The FiberFlex rods from Welding Plastics have so far been my favorite Welding Rod. The same material that is used to make automotive bumper covers. Is very good The material is very durable, and binds to many types of plastic.
Sadly, this is yet another overpriced piece of junk made in China! You don't need to waste your money on this, stick with something cheaper because now that I am out of all that money and out any kind of warranty period.
I've tried this and it works perfectly. I found the instruction manual that explains what type of plastic rod to use to be a bit difficult to follow. It is usually flat rods that I end up using most of the time. In addition to fixating automotive battery trays, blow mold cases for portable tools, refrigerator drawers, and many more items, I've also built a 96" TV stand. I would recommend purchasing this sooner rather than later because it will pay off in the long run. There happens to be a need for more of the stainless steel screen, so try to find a more affordable source for it. This still seems to be a great product, but the screen, which you will be using a lot, is very expensive. I have been purchasing Harbor Freight plastic welder kites just for the screen as it seems to be the most economical route.
My Chevrolet 3500 dually's bedsides need to be repaired, so I bought this. There is no way I could have predicted how simple it was to repair and how robust the bond was. Only one end of the bedside had been repaired, and the repair was already strong enough to lift and shake the whole thing. Welds on both sides act as if they were never there. I can kick it, knee it, and it behaves the same way as if there were no welds whatsoever. The product has been used to fix other plastic pieces around the house and shop and I am extremely pleased with it. I also called Polyvance directly to ask why this kit was so much cheaper than the one they sell directly on their website. He explained that it was so they could encourage people to buy from Amazon since it was easier that way than selling direct. I was very pleased with this kit.
One corner of the fuel tank was shattered and the replacement is not readily available (must be a rare model). As far as I've read, their newer models aren't built with the same quality, so I'm doing my best to prolong the life of this SRM 2500. I tried epoxy, but it didn't work well. Once I ground down the edges a bit, I used the FiberFlex rod to seal the edges. I believe it will hold up to constant contact with gasoline as it fixed the crack and filled the pencil sized hole. As soon as I get a chance, I'll
Over the next few years, I'm sure that kit will come in handy more than once.
