Product Description

Cleanliness at your workspace is very important, but you can keep things simple and clean with a blanket if you plan on welding outdoors, indoors or in the garage.

You can make welding safer by using a welding blanket to prevent things from catching fire while you weld. This, in addition to keeping you safe, also keeps the area around you from becoming damaged.

Fire resistant fiberglass makes this blanket flame resistant and provides thermal protection preventing sparks and splashes. The device may also be utilized to control smoke from smokers, pellets, air ducts, duckwork, curtains, doors, etc.

Melted metal should not be let to spatter on something that will damage it, such as a big welding blanket that will protect it from the molten metal spatter.

Is the fiberglass what causes this to shred?

Metal grommets have been set about 12 inches apart on all four sides of the blanket.

This product doesn't work it melts and burns

In a nutshell The package was purchased in December 2019 and it was used from December 2019 to After welding on the ceiling at 10 feet and laying the blanket on the ground, I found that the sparks fell burned the material, melted it, and opened up holes in it.

This looks like it will be a good solution. My purpose is to cordon off a section of my shop to do basic welding, and it seems to be well made (heavy and well constructed). You need to be aware of the fibers, though! It was an accident that I didn't realize that it was fiberglass and pulled 2 blankets out, carried them in my pocket, then put the blankets back in the bag. A glassblower instead of a welder is who I am. This blanket was purchased for use in my shop so that I could use it in a few different places. The blanket was very useful to put hot glass on when I got home. In my experiments I noticed that if the glass was dropped right out of the flame on a blanket I would notice that it would stick, but that makes sense since the glass is way beyond the recommended 1000 degrees. A glass of this age is still near 1200, I would guess At this point, the temperature is 1300 degrees and the dew point is 0 degrees A properly used solar panel can provide the following benefits There is no risk of burning the blanket. My plan is to test the blanket inside the kiln to help reduce residue from It has a multitude of other uses around the shop, as I am sure I can think of ten more to use it for.

This is a nice and big sofa it will burn your feet on carpet

There is nothing better than a big welding blanket My husband didn't help me hang the blanket as I had been instructed to do So he laid the electrode on the steps while he was welding, and it burned through the steps perfectly In my opinion it is better to hang it than to leave it lying on the carpet since it offers better protection. As proof, we have some blackened carpet!.

There is no need to worry about getting burned by this sheet of welding blanket. It works perfectly from distances The piece of metal I bought from this store was intended for covering the sheet metal on the front of my jeep for a winch mount welding project, but it ended up burning a slot into The comb works well, but avoid getting too close as it will burn/melt and fray if you get too close.

A welding blanket that's as good as it's supposed to be! As I am not the best welder, I need all the safety precautions I can get to prevent my garage from being burnt down. I'm very pleased with it. There were no burn throughs at all! This item folds easily into a smaller size, and I love how compact it is. I will most certainly purchase.
