Questions & Answers

The lamp I have makes a popping sound and refuses to stay light. I'm using an acetylene tank with the adapter (from a CGA 200 MC to a CGA 520 B). Can you tell me what the problem is?

This could be one of three If your regulator is not turned all the way up, or if your tip is clogged, or if your tank is empty, you need to fix this

My profession is a plumber and I am planning to use the storage to solder copper pipes will it work, and can it be run on propane or mop gas? What is the smallest tank that can be mounted?

Acetylene B tanks are the only ones that work with the turbo torch. On this setup, a mop won't work and propane won't work either. You can, however, use this torch and acetylene to solder

To use the attached electronics with the Home Depot accessory items, do I need an adapter?

It will not work on small propane tanks, this is for acetylene tanks.

If you were a silversmith, how would this torch benefit you?

There is no information on silver's melting point so I'm unsure of how this torch would perform at 1400 degrees F.

The purchase of this item should have been done many years The other cheaper air/ace torch I purchased was leaking gas out of its valve, so I bought this one to replace it

Until now I have been hesitant to pay for turbotorch quality since I knew about its quality. Upon opening the package, you can tell that the quality is excellent, and the fit and finish are fantastic. Since I had a problem with the hose being too short, I replaced it with a 24 footer to give me more length. That self-lighting tip is the best thing I've seen since my last raise, and this PL- is really, really hot. Burn rate of 8A tip is equal to or higher than that of my A-tip It has an LED display and lights with a satisfying pop at the push of a button. Although I've only brazed up to 3/4" of the type L copper and oxy/med copper, I have no doubt that this will easily braze 1".

The sparker failed after a while, so it looks like I got a bad unit this time

I've had one of these kits for propane for many years, and it has worked thousands of times. There must have been something wrong with this unit, because the sparker failed after only a few uses, so now I have to use a scratcher to light the torch.

This is a very solid torch kit for HVAC professionals. I have used other brands in the past and it is not as good. I got it for a good price when I ordered it through Amazon, and I got 2 day delivery with Prime.

Taking responsibility for one's actions There is a problem with the igniter

I have to use flint with this torch because the igniter doesn't work, as I used to do with a simpler torch without a self-illuminating flame Activate the ignition. This lighter does not actually make a fire, but explodes the gas inside the burner, so the flames fly into the air from both directions!
Can someone let me know what I need to do to fix it? The exchange item is not accepted on Amazon.
