I like it very much. Because I'm an ironworker, I use an oxygen and acetylene machine. Throughout the day, I grab the torch. As long as I prepare my scroll saw with a fine file first, these bits do an excellent job. I also use them to do my artsy fartsy scroll saw work. My tool comes in handy to drill holes through whatever material I'm using so that the scroll blade can be inserted through them. My second favorite thing about the kit is the sturdy tube which holds all the components. The chuck at the end is of course a must. I found this to be a very useful tool for taking care of a variety of tasks. fact, I sent one to a family friend of my wife, who read it, and then called to tell me how much she loved it as well. The way it was made nicer made her agree with her. Thank you. I really appreciate it.
been the worst product I've ever bought from Forney, and I own quite a few of them! The pen vise needs to be held in place with a pair of vise grips and then a pair of channel-locking tools to prevent it from spindling You must lock the jaws to make sure that drill bits don't slip or fall out while you're In my opinion, this product is a joke, and I would not recommend anyone wasting their hard-earned money on it, because it is not worth a dime. It is my opinion that 02 is the right answer! You can use your standard torch tip cleaners instead of Forney's tip drill set to get the job done.
Despite the smaller holes being opened up by dimpled drill bits, the center point does not enter a new hole when drilling. For the purpose for which it is designed, it works very well.
I once owned a Forney Tip Drill Set, but I lost it years ago. My old one had been ruined by my new one, so I forgot how much I used it. This is a great product, I may have to order another one since my wife stole it when she walked in. In addition to what it was intended for, it's used for so many other projects too.
It seems the drills were so tiny that they broke off inside the torch head almost instantly.
These are going to bend, and the roughness will wear away, creating worse than useless products. This product will NOT bend because these are actual tiny drill bits that will clean the slag out of your torch (or gas orifice on cook stoves, barbecue pits, etc. ) so that it will work like new again and do it in a snap.
I bought it for a specific purpose, and the chuck did serve my purpose, but it is of poor quality. Since the bit is made this way, it's impossible for it to go in the middle. Using it to open an orifice on a carburetor worked just fine, however I would not attempt to drill an accurate hole with it.
I like it.
