Product Description

Drill a standard drill bit through the damaged threads to clear them. If you are going to use fluteless taps, please be aware that bigger holes are needed.

Ensure that the thread and pitch on the bolt match the thread and pitch on the tap.

To cut the holding thread into the cleared hole, use the special taps (it is recommended to use a cutting oil which will remove the debris).

I am not quite sure what you are asking. As long as you use the drill and tap that are included with the kit, the insert should fit correctly. You should be able to fit comfortably into the shoe.

Can you tell me how long the installed length is?

There are about 5 in the morning. If you measure them at different points, they might be 5mm apart.

Everything went smoothly. We had a wonderful first thread. In the second tool, it was hard to insert the insert because it tightened the thread so much that I could not pull it out. It took me a few bangs and pulls to get the tool out and to retap everything. Once it was fixed, it worked perfectly. So take care.

The whole process went smoothly, as the title implies. It feels stronger than ever before when you use the new thread. I've been unable to insert any more coils into the kit, so the rest of the kit is worthless.

I used this product to fix the tailgate of my Ford Ranger and it worked very well. There will be no more rattling. That's how it works from there. When repairing thin metal, make sure you use some lock tite. If you want to rethread the hole, you'll need a T handle. Luckily, I had one.

If you do not own a tap and die set, you will need a T handle for the tap or if you are using it for a valvecover, use a boxed end wrench. Just make sure the tap goes in straight and easily. The deal was good, and I'll be sure to order this size again if I need it in the future.
