The rear axle will fit Chrysler/Dodge vehicles with an axle diameter of 7-11/4, 8-11/4, 8-3/4, or 9-1/4

With this tool, you can loosen the differential bearing adjusters inside the housing through the axle tube (you will need a socket for this).

As the axle tube fits perfectly into the wrench end, access to the threaded adjusters is extremely easy, and there is a 6" stretch of heat shrink on the wrench end, which will protect the oil seal and wheel bearing when used.

You should be able to use it. Currently I have a Dodge Ram 1500 and it works well for me.

We were very satisfied with the cost. The weld on the socket end was able to withstand the high torque required to seat the differential bearings and shims without being broken. This will be added to my list of tools to be used in the future.

Rebuilding an 8 will require you to rebuild it from scratch. This is one of the things you must have. Backlash can be adjusted so much easier this way.

It is a bare-bones tool that does a job that it is impossible to do without. The tool is made well and will be of great value to anybody who works on Chrysler differentials. Get one of these tools instead of going through the hassle. It will be a good decision for you.

Tool that was cheap and effective, rebuilt my 9 partitions with no problems. No problems at all with setting the preload and setting the preload timer. There are no issues with this tool, I would buy it.
