If I hadn't bought this one for the 2141, I would not have believed the people on here who said it was so difficult to put the cover on the impact. A year ago, I purchased a cover for my 2135TiMax, and it was simple to install. The 2141 has a new cover. is insanely close! Actually, stretching it over the gun caused a minor rip in it. I'm 24 years old, and trying to stretch this thing over has given me hemorrhoids. To make room for the forward and reverse buttons, I had to trim a section of it. It's not a big deal. It looks fantastic and will safeguard this gold nugget (which is far too costly)- impact!.
br>br>With a heat gun, she'll be on in 20 seconds or less! If a man has trouble with this, you've got other problems! br>br>It's thick and nice. Excellent presentation.
I got one of these for a few dollars on Amazon! I warmed the boot in hot water and dried it, softening the rubber a little. Apply a small coat of liquid shampoo to the inside top front of the boot hole before attempting to put it on. This is to allow the top front hole in the boot to slip over the impact nose's front! Once the front hole of the boot is fully seated, you can pull the back of the boot over the back of the impact, which will take a strong pair of hands. The direction buttons are a little messed up by the fully installed boot, but it's not a big deal!.
This cover does, in fact, have a snug fit. Really, really tight. Heat it up with a heat gun until it's very soft, then slide it over. I still have a small tear in the right rear corner, but it's inconsequential and barely visible. I'm pleased with the cover, as it distinguishes my 2141 from the competition.
It was too tight and ripped a little, so I had to stretch it to fit.
It's quite effective.
I suppose the fact that it's tight is a good thing, but they should include instructions on how to warm it up before installing it.
It does an excellent job of fighting.
