It completed my task perfectly. I like how thick it is and how well-made it appears to be. With rust and impact resistance, the Chevy 10 bolt has been approved. It worked well for removing old rusty nails with an 800lb impact.
This tool performed admirably and was reasonably priced. I used it to replace the upper ball joints on my 1986 Dodge W 150.
It's well-made and fits perfectly. Before using this on old tie rod ends, spray PB Blaster or an equivalent into the ball joint sockets several hours to a few days ahead of time. To keep the spanner nuts from seizing and the tool from breaking, use a clamp or tie rod puller to keep the tool tight and square in the spanner nuts. Loosen the tool slowly, cycling back and forth as needed. br>However, it's crucial to keep it tight and square.
Because of the socket's design, it's a little difficult to keep the insert inside the groves, but it's doable.
It's what I use on my W series trucks' 44-series front axles. Perfectly aligned with the top ball joint.
No problems with the first split ring. When I got to the other side, the tool refused to seat. Even after applying a lot of heat to the ring and knuckle, as well as filing the tops and edges, it wouldn't seat.
For the upper ball joint sleeve, adjust to the manufacturer's specifications.
Without it, I would have been unable to complete the task.
