I was able to get rid of the vibration in my driveline

A Ford 8 was modified by me. 8" onto a 1969 Dodge, but I made a mistake when it came to welding the leaf spring perches on. My rear pinion was pointing up about a degree higher than it should have been. The vibration was bad above 70 mph, and the circular harmonic blurred the rearview mirror, rendering it useless! Between the springs and the axle perches, these shims were simple to install. Because there was a small amount of surface irregularity on the shims, I ran some sandpaper over them. It only took a minute or two. And now, at all highway speeds, the car is as smooth as glass. Nice.
