Both of my LBJs were shot, so I swapped them out for greasable MOOGs. When used in conjunction with LCA bushes, it eliminated a lot of the highway vibrations I was experiencing at 70 mph.
Despite the fact that it is a threaded zurc with a pre-threaded insert, it was still difficult to get it to grip for some reason. I also had trouble getting the rubber boot band over the joint and keeping it on.
This lower ball joint fit like a glove. In less than an hour, I was able to disassemble and reassemble it. It's nice that it comes with a lifetime warranty; hopefully, I won't have to use it. Great deal, was offered at half price, and MOOG is, in my opinion, the best brand.
It was simple to install, according to Hubby, and it solved the clunking problem.
Grease fittings are extremely difficult to thread, and I had to drill one out and replace it with a higher-quality grease fitting after breaking one.
Mexico is the country where the product is made. But it. Fits my Toyota 4Runner 2wd from the year 1998. 2002 worked perfectly, and it came with a castle nut and pin. They're manufactured in Mexico. They appear to be of decent quality, however. It took 30 minutes to put the system together. It's Moog and it's a grade A for the price. ''br>br>If you're looking to replace your lower ball joints, these are the ones to get. Dealer parts are too expensive, and spending $600 on tie rods and ball joints for a car 10 years or older is a waste of money.
The mounting hardware included with the unit is not the same as what came with the unit originally. I had to go over everything again. The new bolts were too short, so use the original ones.
Keep the bolts you have on hand. The bolts they sent began to corrode!.
