I noticed that the magnet was so strong that even when attempting to remove the spark plug socket from the extension before removing the spark plug from the socket, the socket would disconnect from the extension before releasing from the It wasn't merely a matter of the extension's grip on the socket being weak. Keeping each other in place was no easy task. There is just no way to stop the magnet. The needle nose pliers had some difficulty retrieving the socket from the inaccessible spark plug tubes due to the location of the plug. I couldn't use it to install new plugs. It was good for removing the old ones and removing, but not for installing.

The socket I used to remove the spark plugs was more convenient for removing my spark plugs than this swivel version for my 2017 WRX. Those are my personal opinions.

The magnet held the plugs almost too well when I put them into the holes yesterday. It was easier to do the job with the wobble joint. The items I had to remove from clearance were not removed. The socket is nice.

It worked flawlessly and held the sparkplug snugly inside the socket. The thing I love is this. The 2008 335i bmw convertible I have is fitted with it.

For newer BMWs, it is a must. This has been used without a problem on a F30 and a F10.
