Questions & Answers

Is this inclusive of all of the photo's attachments?

Actually, it's a 5/8" socket connected to a 3" x 3/8" extension with a built-in swivel ball joint. As a result, it's essentially a single-piece unit. It's great for tune-ups, and I'd buy it again if I ever misplaced mine.

Is there a rubber insert that keeps the plug in place inside the socket?

No, but it does have a magnet that keeps the plug in place very well.

Will this tool work with spark plugs from a Porsche Cayenne S from 2004?

This should fit, according to Google; the correct size is 5/8; and this tool is fantastic! Life is so much easier with a magnet. I, too, have a hemi, as did the other respondent.

Is this something that can be used for spark plugs in lawn mowers?

Lawn Mower plugs are typically 13/16" in diameter (rather than 5/8" in diameter). To be sure, double-check the size of your plugs.

Excellent Quality - Toyota Tundra (Model 5) This was purchased for the purpose of replacing the spark plugs in my Toyota Tundra 5
5/5

The pivoting element was exactly what I needed to get into a few tight spaces, and the 7L engine was just what I needed. Because the socket and extension are nearly the same depth as the spark plug well, it worked perfectly with extra extensions (3" or 6" depending on clearance).

- The spark plugs were held snugly in the magnetic socket, but they were easily released. Much superior to the old rubber grommet type interior socket.

- The swivel was just long enough to allow the plugs to be inserted and removed at the various angles required for each cylinder without being "floppy. " It should be noted, however, that it does not pivot very far, so if you require a sharper, right-handed image, you will need to use a different lens. This isn't going to work because of the angle. I've included a photo of it from the most extreme perspective.

- The craftsmanship and quality are excellent. similar to Snap-on Craftsman tools, for example. br>br>For a DIY project, it was well worth the money. I was able to save around $100 in labor costs.

Purchase this wrench, replace your own plugs, and then spoil yourself! What? My local service center has set a price of $165
5/5

00 for a new set of spark plugs? $80 for replacement parts? , plus labor, plus a fee for the shop, plus tax? Spark plugs have been $20 each since when? No, thank you; I'll take care of it myself (I believe). Let's see how it goes. $44 for a set of four NGK's on Amazon. Even so, $18 on Ebay appears to be a better deal. Is there a spark plug wrench in my toolbox? Oh, and I haven't used this little gasket socket in 20 years. Oh, yes; It is inconvenient. As a result, I no longer do it myself. Check out YouTube for instructions on how to change the oil in a 10-year-old Honda Accord. It appears to be fairly simple. Look on Amazon for more information. Everyone gives 5 stars to the GearWrench magnetic swivel something 6 inch. 15 bucks. Okay, I'll give it a shot. Get some anti-inflammatory medicine. There's also anti-seize and anti-dielectric grease. It was two days later. I got everything I needed. I'm writing this review an hour later, after the plugs have been changed. That was a breeze. Apparently, I didn't even require the anti-inflammatories. NGK's should be seized. But I'm glad I had a 4" socket extender, because otherwise I would have been disappointed. This wrench was absolutely fantastic. I'm ready for cold brew number two.

Ideal for a group of five people
5/5

In my 2014 Ram 5, I changed seven HEMI spark plugs for the first time in my life. 7 hemi. Without this tool, I would not have been able to complete the task. It moves in the way you want it to, and the magnet is ideal for extraction.
NOTE: Fit this socket down into the chamber and turn it by hand until it locks when removing the spark plugs. THEN break it loose by attaching your extension or ratchet (some cylinders required an extension, while others further back did not). Remove the ratchet and use your finger strength to pull the plug out once it's been broken loose. br>PRIOR to inserting the new plug, apply anti-seize to the threads and dielectric grease to the top (use very little of both), insert the plug into the socket, and CAREFULLY drop it into the chamber with your hand. TURN THE SOCKET BY HAND **SLOWLY** UNTIL YOU FEEL IT FALL INTO THE THREAD BEFORE TIGHTENING THE PLUG! IT'S JUST A SMALL CLICK! WARNING: DO NOT CROSS THREAD THE PLUG OR YOU WILL HAVE A TERRIBLE DAY! br>After that, you hand-tighten it as much as you can. It's pretty much locked in if you ratchet it up until you feel the crushable washer crush. Make sure it's not too tight! After that, proceed to the next step. I replaced all 16 factory plugs with new iridium plugs and noticed a significant improvement in throttle response and MPG. Best of luck!.

Lexus/Toyota 3- 5L V6? This is an absolute must-have for anyone who owns a Toyota or Lexus V6
5/5

It makes removing and installing the rear plugs, particularly the leftmost and center plugs, a chore rather than an impossibility. br>br>Honestly, I don't think I could have put together a better combination of extensions and swivels than this, and I've been collecting tools, mostly automotive, for 35 years. With this extension, you'll be able to get rid of the two near-misses. Without removing any intake pieces, reaching the rear plugs is impossible. The cruise control cable and bracket must be unbolted, but the throttle body must be removed. I'll buy this extension, use it three times in my life, and be satisfied with my investment.

It made my job a lot easier
5/5

I decided to replace the spark plugs in my GMC Sierra, and it was a lot easier than I expected. Getting the 8 cylinder closest to the firewall on the passenger side out "and returning the new one into" was frustrating and time consuming, but with the help of this, I was able to do so. This is an excellent product.

The best spark plug socket for less than $15 - BMW N52 e93 (2010 BMW 328i) was the vehicle on which I worked
5/5

This socket will work on all BMW 328i engines*********
br>The wobble head feature is a must-have for removing/installing spark plugs - provides a great deal of flexibility I didn't think it would be a big deal when I bought it, but because it wobbles, it's a plus and gives me more space on the top, which is useful when space is limited. br>br>While the magnetic feature of this socket is well known for removing plugs, it also has another benefit when it comes to installing spark plugs: simply place the new plug in the socket and wiggle your way to the spark plug hole. Again, the wobble head provides flexibility, and your socket does not need to be perfectly aligned to install the plug; simply hand thread the plug before applying torque with the torque wrench. br>br>Extension: br>br> It helps to have an extension with this socket; I got a set for $8 at Harbor F and it makes the job easier. br>br>No shortcuts: Don't forget to use anti-seize lubricants on the threads - > and die- In the boots, there's some electric lube - > Users of the 328i: To tighten the spark plugs, use a torque of 23 ft/lb.
