Despite what the tool claims, I don't recommend it. My NGK spark plugs seemed to be gapped considerably lower than they should have been, so I thought there might be something wrong after the first 3 I checked seemed severely under. As I expected, I checked everything with my calipers and it was just It is a quarter of an inch To cite one example, I was supposed to gap them by As for the gap, I checked them to where the gauge read 0, but to do it properly I had to go to the gap gauge. I found the hole for opening the gap not very useful, too. There seems to be too much of it. As close as it came to the iridium wire, I was afraid it was going to damage Another gapping tool I have has wire loops around the sides and a tab with a notch on the side of the tab. This tool works both for opening and This tool would have been helpful to me if it were available.

The offset makes it very useful as long as you are aware of it
5/5

It is not accurate to use the numbers. The tool is off by . I rechecked with an extremely accurate digital caliper and the tool is off by . Measurements have been made accurately except for one inch, which is off by one inch. In my tool, there is a 003 error. In spite of the price being under two dollars, it is one of the best budget tools to gap your plugs. As long as you know what the offsets are, there is no need for an In this case, it is enough. On top of that, engine tolerances aren't exactly can range from $3,000 to $3,100, but you'll need to check your manual to learn how much a range is. Those who are interested in my application can contact me at The 40th to the. It might be best to keep the gap between the plugs in the middle don't open and close the gap too many times, depending on the plug, as it could cause the plug connection to fail. This happened to me, glad it worked out for you. Despite this, a dollar gets you a tool that allows you to gape or open I am closing the spark. The plug is easy to plug in. Calculate your measurement using a caliper if you are building a race car You can track the.

This is incorrect! You can read reviews online

It wasn't cheap ($14 per plug). I bought an entire new set of NGK plugs. The only reason I bought it was to verify that it worked. There was not a single plug that wasn't from the factory. They are all at 31 in this image. Took it to Autozone and bought a new Each and every one of them attended. In the factory's statement, it stated 31. There is no way I want to use this thing. It is too far away and pretty much illegal.

In this instance, the tool failed to give accurate results
3/5

A pre-test was conducted on four patients A gap has opened up. In this instance, the tool failed to give accurate results. A pre-test was conducted on four patients The number of gapped plugs is 0. At 0, 033" at 0" This is "036". When I looked at several areas of the tool with a caliper, they were all inaccurate and could not be calibrated against a curve or in any other way that would make sense. I give two stars to the seller for refunding my purchase without going through the hassle of asking for it back.

It's hard to tell what the gap value is
3/5

There's almost nothing left of this thing. We're off by 10 points. A total of 043 plugs are displayed. Currently, the item has a score of 034. I wouldn't even consider spending $1 on this. Save your time and don't waste it on an inexact measuring device. Cheap or not, it's still a good deal.

The statement is not accurate! It wasn't close at all in my case
3/5

As far as I was concerned, I was getting a great product, made in the US, with a good brand. In August 2020, I used it for the first time. I was disappointed and upset because I had to redo the work since the gauge is not accurate. To measure the first spark plug, I bought OEM spark plugs from Toyota, and I got In the spec, it is called for to be 0. 25. Please enter the code "031" Since the gap between the wheels was only 08mm, I started to gap them. The number 31 When I was on my seventh spark plug, I started to get suspect that I needed to regap the previous 6 spark plugs, so I took out my cheap AutoZone Made in China gauge to verify and was shocked to find that the 7th new plug was perfect. In CTA made in USA gauge, a reading of 031 was recorded. The 025" felt like I had a stomach ache. As I read the Mitutoyo caliper, I was surprised. There are 079mm, So much for US quality stuff, plus the inch side is not converted into mm correctly, for instance, if I gauged the gap at 0. I had a gauge that was "031", but when measured in mm it was not . ". I would say it was at or slightly higher. A 07mm lens. It was also noted in another review that this tool was not accurate but didn't provide any explanations. It should have been listened to then. This is a 2 star review simply because the gap opener (parts that are used to open up the gap on spark plugs) works well, and the shipper sent it out timely. The following pictures were taken while I was measuring an old spark plug with Chinese and CTA US made spark plugs have the same gap

To give everyone a favorite avoid buying this tool, spend a little extra and buy a Ullman gap tool or a cheap one from AutoZone will do the trick.

I like it, but it's twice as expensive as the ones you can get in the retail stores in America that are sourced from China
4/5

It says made in America, which probably explains why it costs twice as much as the ones you can buy directly We live in a time when American industry is in such a sad state. As a result of other people's scientific measurements of tolerance, I was unsure of the accuracy of this product, however since I purchased it with an amazon gift card, I did not regret it. In my first attempt to gap a spark plug, I succeeded in connecting my honda lawn mower for the first time! I got spark and it was easy! Therefore, whatever levels of tolerance we have are tolerable and sufficient to make it work, I guess. Because of the imprint being shallow, I try to keep it in the plastic bag it came in because I worry the imprint will wear out if I put it on my keychain in my pocket for showoff purposes because it doesn't have a very deep etching.

Your gaping attempt may result in a failure. You will be at zero if you do this. The number is 047. The purpose of this was convenience. I wanted to do it this way. I am glad I checked it first!.
